I have to ask...since this is a different kind of stress than these pieces were designed to bear (pressing down as opposed to a crosswise shock from the blade getting hit), just how much load is this capable of bearing?  How much weight are the screws/joints rated for?  NOT making a crack about anyone's weight...I'd be concerned about it myself and I have a pretty small frame.

well their all screwed together so the joins should be pretty dam solid for taking weight, its made from aluminium which is one of the sturdier metals, and it isn't exactly thin, it looks to be about as thick as 16 guage steel which is what my re-enactment armour is made from. So I imagine its pretty darn solid

I regularly lean on my saber pike at cons and it seems fine
