Fretful Instigator of the Prismatic Order

« on: May 09, 2016, 07:36:52 AM »

I'm posting this just because I want someone to do it, and I ain't got no money right now. Why not a saber hilt made of spinal column?

Any of you 3d printer havin' folks able to do it? Heck, if you're a butcher with spare vertebrae that you can clean up the inside, you can stack 'em, glue 'em and fit saber electronics inside.

Just think of it, all you Sith beasts. A saber made of the spine ripped from your first kill. Remember that power. Never let it go.

Selfish passion is unquenching.
What strength have you when you are a slave to your passions?
What power without strength of character?
To self centered rage, you will be chained.
The dark side is no victory.

The long path to peace is through balanced emotions.
The first step to gaining knowledge is recognizing your own ignorance.
Serenity is patient, not passionate satisfaction.
Find harmony by understanding chaos.
Become one with the force, which will never die.

Vegetarians, and PETA people will love this idea. O_o

It sounds kind of cool, but I'd definitely want synthetic material, and nothing that may decompose.

That could make a cool curved hilt.

+1 for having a working imagination. Smiley

Slightly twisted and morbid for such a ridiculously late hour into the night.  But I like it man.

Pt to you!

Hahaha!  I actually have a giant bone and an elk antler that I'm saving to turn into saber for my dog, so he'll be able to pick it up and swing it around- with a short blade of course, well short'ish he's 145lbs Smiley. Your idea's cooler, but I think arlo would be tempted to rip it apart unless a single thick piece lol.

Hi.  Sedsti has already done a modified version using his 3D printer process.  Also you should check out customizations from scrams where he makes synthetic bone/horn saber hilt casings.  I'd be concerned about real bones drying out too much and splintering, unless polished really smoothly and then coated to seal.   Smiley
