Here's my Entry & Prize sabers

Entry : Overlord, Obsidian v4, black/red av switch (with silver bezel) . . . and the elusive Tri-AB LED (more to say about that in another thread, lets just say it's VERY nice) . . . The Overlord is light and agile compared to some other hilts, a very good all round hilt . . .  


Second Prize : Crimson Mantis, v3 sound, standard guarded momentary switch, BR, 36" UEMG blade . . . a fun hilt, and the red anodising is nicer than I expected . . .

I was afraid you might be disowning me as a SaberBuddy after I shunned your new beloved switch combo. 

I'm not 100% against them - one day I will get a Silver hilt in TRI Adegan Silver, and that will totally have a White-Illuminated Silver AV switch.

That's a beautiful entry saber, JediXIX.  I really like the Overlord in Arctic Blue.  The Crimson Mantis is gorgeous too, that's a fantastic prize.

Nice pics Jed! From the glow to the side you can def see the different hue that tri-AB has to it. The red on the Mantis looks rich and of course that beautiful red AV on the Overlord.

Nice. Definitely looks different than my standard Arctic Blue on my Overlord =] Can't wait to see full blade pics. I hope US brings that one back

Nice sabers there Jed.  The Mantis is the last saber I would want to own, even more so than the Monarch.  But... that red version is just so shmexy !  Now you have ruined regular AB for the rest of us.  Want to hear more about how that Overlord handles.  I have the OL emitter on a Shock and really like the weight and feel.  Can no longer keep up with the collection of sabers you currently own.   point

Hey LC.  This saber looks really good.  I have a few that don't have illuminated av switches as it seems to look nicer for that particular look and windows can be enough.  Draws attention to the blade color.  I need some of those Renegade small pommels as they sure are that little black dress but a crimson red dress is smoking hot too.       point

Forgive me for taking so long to post my new blades. I was waiting to get some better pictures and hopefully a review video, but it would be better for me to just post what I have now than to keep waiting until I am not busy and able to do more.

So I ordered a Renegade with no sound and no Emerald, just about as simple as it comes.



It is currently in the closet awaiting my birthday next month to be given to me.

My prize was an orange Dominex LE v4 which it turned out, was my brother's dream blade so I very happily gave it to him. He said that I may have won fourth place but he won the grand prize.



Thank you so much Ultrasabers. I had wanted to get a blade for my brother for a long time but he wasn't completely sure what he wanted when I asked him. When he saw what I got he instantly fell in love and couldn't be happier. I had a different wish fulfilled than expected, but one that I had long yearned to see granted.

Well, if you don't mind, I'll give you the in depth answer.
When I first got into Star Wars I loved the red blade because red was my favorite color. I always saw myself using a red blade but as a good guy. When Episode I came out the double blade immediately became my favorite. It was a long time ago but I believe I chose to have a blue blade instead of a second red blade to make it more apparent that I was among the ranks of the heros and not the villains. (I was pleased to discover later on that one Jedi wielded a crimson blade for a short while and I felt it perfectly supported my position that Jedi could use red blades if they so chose.) After that I felt that the red blue combination became my signature. For complicated reasons that I won't explain here, I stopped calling myself a Jedi wielding a lightsaber and adopted the character of a member of The Order of the Wolf carrying a starblade. As the world has been created I learned that white starblades are the most effective, in character, and felt I should obtain and use a white blade. However, I did not want to give up my signature red/blue either. The crosspiece style hilt gave me that option for the first time. Thus, I opted to have a white primary blade and red and blue quinions. One day when I have a little money, I would like to get a second matching crosspiece and then I can have a double blade again, if I so choose.

That's a lovely background story White Knight.  The silver Renegade suits your character perfectly.  As a Shadow Grey I have a GB blade with BR FoC.  Have another point.
