So I've started to run out of room on my shelf...which I suppose is a good thing because it means my collection of sabers is growing.

But as the space lessens and my desire for more sabers grows, I'm faced with a problem.  I need to mount them to my wall and was wondering if any of you folks have done it yourself.

I have no ideas where to start -- was even thinking of buying a wall-mounted pool cue rack and just using that for the sabers, which might be the cheapest and easiest, but wanted to hear all your ideas!

Thanks!

Command broom holders work well. They're not the prettiest display, thoughe.

Most stores carry them for about $6 or so.

They work pretty well, although I try to keep my heaviest (and most expensive) sabers off of them.  I'm just not sure how much I trust them when you get closer to their printed weight limit.

Oh that's not a bad idea.

Agreed, though. It's not the nicest looking display.

Yeah Shade, my heaviest two right now are the Malice and Scorpion. I've got a Manticore, a Dark Prophecy on the way, and I think the Menace will complete the collection.  So besides the Malice and Scorpion, the rest will be on the smaller and lighter side.  Granted, I haven't held a Prophecy or Menace but I'm assuming they're nowhere near as heavy.

I keep my emerald obsidian Manticore on one. That's my heaviest, and it works just fine.

Shade brings up a good point, though. Definitely check the weight of the saber first. Your budget storage could turn into an expensive repair.

Also, OP, if you do a forum search, you should be able to find loads of ideas. Others have posted what they've done.

Oh Landen that's a good idea. I looked around a bit but couldn't find anything specific so I thought I'd ask outright.

That's what we're here for. Anything else, just keep on asking.

Mag Light clips work well I hear:

"D" cell size for the hilt, and "C" cell size for the blade i think.

Also, I just built my own custom rack:

Thanks for all the help guys.

I actually found a post dedicated to mounting sabers, just did a search so you guys were right. Much easier than scouring the forum!

Rapine, I found someone's post who took two Maglight clips per saber, C or D depending on the hilt size, and screwed them into a 2x4, then screwed the 2x4 into the wall.  Looks like the easiest way to mount  more than one.

I appreciate all your help! Happy sabering Cheesy

The Command broom grip is what I use and it works well I like the fact you stick it to wall and move it without having a hole in the wall cause I really hate painting

I use the 3M holders as well

Haven't had a single problem with them. They are extremely sturdy when installed per the directions.
