speaking of the Young, I am truly baffled by today's youth, and I am not even that old. Speaking to a couple of employees (both at least 10 years younger than me), getting to know them so to speak, films came up. Both of them answered they have little time to watch films and never have, saying that was to long to sit in one place. I have heard this answer before from those below 30. As a child up through being a teenager I watched many films...but I also played video games, played/worked outside, hung out with friends and family, roamed the miles of woods around me, did my school work etc.
OMG, what did I unleash? Finally a new topic. My sophomore year of college I filled much time with model building. All but one of the guys on the floor would see me and watch for a few while I put these together. This one idiot constantly made it known that he could never sit still long enough to build something. I was like "You want a cookie?" I'm the one with ADHD, but I can sit still long enough (3-4hrs).
But then there are some that just think "smelling the roses" takes too long.

I have never heard that, but it does not at all surprising. They say the average attention span of people is getting shorter.

It is. I have seen in first hand with my nephews and my girlfriend's nephews.
I have a cousin whose daughter is only ever appeased by being given whatever device is on-hand that she can watch YouTube on. She's 4-ish. The others all seem pretty normal.....-ish.

That's when I would spontaneously smack someone while the movie was playing.
I love seeing films on the big screen, but time, money and energy (as it is a huge ordeal to go the movies in my area) prevent me from seeing every movie I want to see. So I am very selective, basically marvel films, Disney/Pixar and Star Wars (Disney gets all my money). Reason being those bigger films are always best seen on the big screen first. But dramas, comedies, suspense etc will be just as good on the screen at home.
Can not agree more. Big effects/graphics get seen at the show (if budget allows). Anything less eventually gets viewed on the small screen.

Today feels like it should be Friday. This weather is killing me. I slept 11hrs Friday night, 6 on Saturday night, and took a 4hr nap on Sunday. I still didn't want to wake up this morning.
