'Avengers: Endgame' Run Time Officially 3 Hours 58 Seconds

The directors of Avengers: Endgame have officially confirmed the run time of the highly anticipated culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe through 22 films. Previous reports were close but some changes throughout post-production have moved Avengers: Endgame to 3 hours and 58 seconds long.

"I think it's three hours and fifty eight seconds," Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo told ComicBook.com. "We just sped up the credits is what we did," he added with a laugh.

Agreed. It's the non-fans that are doing that, ones that never read the book nor are fans of the MCU and only watch them because everyone else is or they want to discuss it on social media.

What he said ^^^  Although, to be fair, most of the complaints tend to be aimed at Return of the King and the 15 endings.

Godfather Part 2, The Green Mile, JFK, The Wolf of Wall Street. Just some examples of movies that are all over 3 hours long and they are considered amongst some of the best movies ever released. And that's before we look back at movies like Ghandi or Lawrence of Arabia. Goes back to my earlier point: if a movie is good the time will fly by, if the movie is bad, that's when 3 hours seems like an eternity.

The "15 Endings" thing is a source of contention for me...since the book doesn't just end.  Defeating Sauron wasn't the end of their problems.  Hell there is a whole ending Jackson just didn't film..one where the Shire was taken over by Saruman and Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pip had to organize the Hobbits into a revolt.
