Despite my lack of genuine caring about black blades, I maintain that I can create a viable one. I simply have yet to get off my lazy backside and buy the necessary materials to construct it. It would be relatively simple to do though, and no, it doesn't involve electrical tape on the blade. lmao
Well.. I just thought 1 min about it after reading the post... the polycarbonate blade also shines light through the walls of the blade... so the only thing needed to blacken the core while keeping light on the outside is a black piece of paper rolled up in the blade while leaving the normal foil to transport the light to the top that goes through the walls of the blade itself. That should do it. |

In theory, that would work. I have seen a person test my theory though, as they had the same idea and we were discussing it in another thread, and it results in a MUCH dimmer blade. Dim enough that I daresay Fire Orange would not be capable of the black core blade. I have since come up with my current, perfected, theory, which I believe will solve the dimness issue to at least some degree. But again, I am too lazy to have actually gotten around to testing it yet.  |
