A year ago my company temporarily moved My manager up to a higher position and me to hers. Basically she's over two stores and I'm under her as manager of one. But, Like I said it was temporary. Neither of us had the "tenure" to actually get these positions, but it was more cost effective to temporarily bump us up. Well, since we both as a team have apparently done a lot to help the stores...they decided to make us permanent. So as of today I am officially a Manager with a nice little raise. Five years from Stocker to Manager.

Well done! Be glad the promotion came with a raise, especially since you were doing the work already... many times, they “forget” to do that when they increase your responsibilities.
