I like it! It looks like it would serve a purpose in combat, and besides hiding the wearer's face, which itself lends an air of mystery and menace, it's reflective surface could be more than a little disorienting or unnerving to an unprepared opponent who, instead of seeing the eyes of their adversary, or even seeing no face, they see themselves mirrored back at them. Very interesting.

Glad you guys dig it! I don't think any more building needs to be done at this point. If i've learned anything it's that the more you mess with something, the worse I tend to make it! So: put it down…walk away and think about sraling and painting.

LOL that seems about right! better than reforgiing Kylo Ren's helmet on planet of the Apes…

Current paint use is flat black with a matte hammered black metal on the plates (looks like a super dark gray). Tomorrow will add some red accents along with flat steel and the "grill" gets a gold painting.

The choice and placement of accent colors looks good, subtle red pieces to match the bracers well. And I had jokingly posted that Ironman snippet to say "this'll take a while, better go entertain yourself" but then you really did use Red and Gold... (and the other two colors are standard War Machine as well, kinda funny)

It looks good painted finally, and to think it gave you plenty of trouble first; guess it was worth the effort/frustration.

Yeah...this has been quite the adventure. Now I get to dirty it up a bit and be done with it.

Not sure whether I want to go further on the armor front. Just go with a standard-ish Sith Robe setup. I have the long tabards thingy that SirLiftaLot has in Gray but mine is black (natch..) However, a hooded cloak is needed. I want to do the Luke RotJ/Mando style cloak.

Looks great to me. Very unique. Sufficiently intimidating and I could see it also being a bit unnerving to go up against with the mirrored surface. It also looks like it would go quite well with the bracers, which I imagine was the idea. Well done!

Made some decisions on the next few steps:

1) "Soft Parts" will consist of a wine-red undershirt, Black short-sleeve tunic with hood from Far Far Away Outfitters along with their obi for continuity. I will use my black cardigan as a long tabards (see SirLiftaLot's costume)

2) Shoulder armor- I've decided on using this:

as my starting point for my shoulder armor. I am not going to do the chainmail detail but, instead try to do something a little more star wars-y in design. The shape is what I intend to keep.

I wasn't sure I was going to like this as the parts were coming together. However, now that I've done some shaping and a few details, I like it when I'm wrong :-D

Thanks everyone!

Next step is to break out the woodburning tool for some further detailing. I ccan't wait to paint these up. I think I will do black on the outer portions and the black hammered metal color from my helmet on the inner inserts with gold "buttons"… or vice versa.
