I ordered a Dark Apprentice V5 back in July.  I opened it up when it came and everything worked great.  I left the country for work and now am just getting home from it.  I turn on the Saber and the sound works but no light.  There is a quick flash of light when first turned on but that is it.
Is this a faulty LED or is there a function that I need to do to turn the light back on?
I am so bummed that it isn't working.
Please help!

This sounds dumb, but try it anyway… remove the batteries, charge them fully, reinstall them, and try again.  “Phantom drain” is a real effect.

My daughter's Grand master Saber was doing this also.  I've contacted support to see if they have the LED Part I had to figure out that I can't really disassemble the hilt, but I had to turn it upside down and shake it to notice the LED part had slid down some.  the wires are bent up underneath the part and it holds that part in.   I managed to get it out.
the one I have is marked with an "S".  I can't find a part number on it though.   Ok, I just noticed something, the bottom of the LED part screws out, so I took some needle nose pliers and stuck the tips in the holes and twisted it out.  And now I have to write another email.  but it looks like I have to replace that part.  I put the blade back in the hilt one day and the light went dim.  I changed the batteries, still no light.   I know i'll have to rewire the led part.   I'll let you know how it goes.
