Right now he's eyeball deep in the summer lightsaber camps he's been organizing. However we've talked about putting on some kind of one day or weekend martial arts symposium/seminar event. We haven't specifically talked about lightsabers for that event. However since we're both basing the material presented here on historic martial arts much of what we'd like to do would be applicable to lightsabering (did I just invent a word?). |

My old community, WotS, did campouts every few months. They were these weekend getaways where around 300 people would get together in garb, show off their skills and costumes and custom weapons and whatnot. We used to hold them at Turkey Lake Park in Florida. Maybe, just maybe, we could hold something like that in the middle of everyone.

That is a great idea, though with the economy and gas prices as they stand perhaps the same idea applied to a particular state or in the case of those states that are clustered together real tight a combined state effort? The corner of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi for example...within an hour and a half you can be in middle ground...the same in many spots around the country and within other countries; Europe, lucky...hit several countries in short order  |

i think the idea of having them in each state would be good except for instance here in Michigan there are only a few of us on the forum and then only a few in neighboring states. even within state we are spread out. I know but Master Nonymous is near me but Kaiden and Plagius are both about 5 hours away and those are the only ones i know of in the state. so it could work in some places such as florida or california where there are a lot of us but i wouldnt suggest everyone to try this

A great idea, but voluntary...and only to the state level...there have been some concerns noted before about giving exact locations or even city locations...some of our forum-ites are not of legal age and such. |

Yeah I'm only 14 so I'm not sure giving away exact location would be good but seeing as I've already given the basic Idea of where I'm at id say just give the general area if you don't want to give exact location.

I'm thinking about saving up money and buying a crapload of land out in Texas, and doing my Tythonian Jedi temple idea out there. Since land is cheaper out there. Then I could host saber camps and other events.... Seriously this is like my life's dream lol. Not to mention Texas, while a state most people wouldn't choose to live in, is pretty much middle ground, and if I could make the place the way I wanted, coming out just to visit the Jedi temple would be enough of a vacation spot in and of itself.
