Finished The Umbrella Academy and now waiting weekly for updates to 9-1-1 and The Good Doctor. Did rock out to Drowning Pool while driving to San Antonio last week from an old playlist I came across. My fellow Jar Heads know that this is motivational music the Corps plays before we deploy.

So, this being an American forum it seems that most people on here music wise like stuff with guitars (metal, rock, indie etc). However, I'm English and therefore my childhood exposure to music was a little more rounded, especially during my formative teen years when we just started going out to bars and clubs (18 being the legal age to drink alcohol over here). We listened to rap, hip-hop, New Jack Swing (god bless Teddy Riley), garage, house, rock, indie, 80s soul, reggae & bashment. UKG (UK Garage for the uninitiated) was one of the biggest music genres in the 90s when I was teenager. Check out this track by Majestic that highlights pretty much why being a teenager in the UK in the 90s was da bomb! So many pop culture references; it's like a perfect time capsule of parts of childhood.

Nice! There was also a lot of UKG references (Norris "da boss" Windross, Luvbug etc). Although, I wouldn't be surprised if many people outside of the UK got those. Also, you get a point for knowing Gordon the Gopher. |

I didn't get most but I got Gordon the Gopher. Had a cousin from the UK that visited and brought the doll over who explained the name of the puppet and the show with Phillip Schofield. Thanks!
