hrm, well a buddy of mine, has been told that his style is very reminiscent of form V. He mainly uses a dark arbiter, the extra length of the hilt allows a lot of leverage for  the overhand strikes, that and despite being as long as it is, it is an incredibly light hilt. Far lighter than my guardian.

I personally like the feel of my DSI for when I am in an aggressive dueling mood Smiley

Liberator V2. Without a doubt. I've briefly seen and held some higher-end sabers, but the Libby is spectacular in the hand. I'm sure the V3 is just as good, but I haven't used or held it.

Let's see... this is gonna depend somewhat on how your friend implements Form V.

For powerful, two handed strikes you'd want something big and robust enough to give you plenty of grip and leverage.  The Bane is nice for this, as is the Arbiter.  The Guardian definitely has some heft and a great deal of style to boot, certainly another very viable option for Form V.

For more of a mix of two and one handed combat (which is possible in Form V) a less hefty saber might be ideal.  As User Name said, the Standard Issue is a nice simple battle saber which is designed for the rigors of combat.

Form V is cmvery strong abd aggressive. A Scottish highlander with a claymore. The liberator  is too slender for that. The bane, guardian, dark archon ...those would be my suggestions.

Hey, he asked for the best saber I've held, so I told him Smiley My suggestion is still the DSI (if money is a problem like the OP suggested). Also - Ahsoka Tano is now a Highlander Wink

Yeah look at the celtic longsword

It's not that big, but it can be wielded with great strength and what I would consider to be a power based style.

As a very great Jedi Master once said.... "Size matters not"

Definitely agree.  I think it's the combination of the no-frills grip (good for two hands) and the aggressive-looking slanted emitter.

Another great two handed lightsaber that looks a great deal like a broad sword is the War Glaive.  I own a broad sword and a War Glaive and the feel of both is very much the same.  Just another option to think about.
