A grab bag is a great first choice as first saber. It gets your feet wet, for less money than a regular hilt, provided you don't have your heart set on any particular saber. If you do, then I'd suggest getting that saber, even if you have to wait and save.
The thing with the grab bag is, you can get literally anything. Sometimes even a 'franken saber' made of random extra MHS parts that were lying around. You're most likely to get a Liberator, Standard issue, Dominix, Aeon, or Initiate though, as these are the hilts they generally produce more of. And I wouldn't count on RGB or sound, they don't come in grab bags.

oh sweet to know ... i going to to another grab bag next week with blade this time XD. Im super phyic for it the wort that can happen is i get anther aeon .. and then guess who duel welds - This guy !!!!- |

Phobius, do you have a quote on that? I remember him saying that when the promotions were on for the premium/V3 grab bags, but I don't remember seeing it said for all grab bags. It would have been easy to miss it, I suppose, but you have me curious now  |

Well, I was looking into lee filters just to modify colors and as for the batteries I thought that might change it also. I really think it's the ultra edge mid blade on it though. I'm gonna order a reg mid blade for it see if that changes it. I still really like it. Not as true as the guardian blue but still good. Just gotta get it deeper.

There are certain things that keep me from the grab bags - if I'm going to pay the price for a grab bag I feel it's logical because
1. I'm not a fan of the all silver hilts although they do great for paint and custom work
2. Limited budget means I have to be selective if I don't want repeats of the same saber / color
3. A friend of mine whom I didn't realize he had ultrasabers had bought two premium sound sabers and 4 grab bags. 3 of the grab bags were aeon v2 2 in BR and one in CG and he also got a Dark Standard issue which was a score. 1/4 is not a good ratio too me. He apparently has given his aeons away as gifts to his nephews and they love them. He kept one and made it his custom but yeah I'm not a gambling man.

I do remember Deep saying that. I was looking for the quote from him and couldn't find it. But he definitely said they never will put initiates in grab bags. Most people who think they get initiates are actually getting aeons and doms. Gotta keep a close eye on the amount of rings on them. |
