Ya know, as much as a chassis would be great - if they were to use a slightly beefier battery holder that kept the baterries in place more firmly that would be fine too. If the saber gets dropped or even whacked hard its possible to jar a battery loose and then you have to drop the holder, fix/adjust, reinsert, etc. Ive also had one my holders lose a small piece and I had to use extra rubberbands to hold everything in place more reliably. Its not even a heavy sparring thing either - the batteries can come loose during fast/hard spinning and practice routines. Just a thought  Which batteries are you referring to? |

Which batteries are you referring to?
Just the basic setup - the 4 triple AAA's. The batteries can get rattled a bit in there. During heavy spinning Ive had one loosen and partially pop out of the holder. Ive rectified it for the most part by using some thin rubberbands wrapped around the batteries. Its not a deal-killer but a heavier duty or more "enclosed" battery holder with the standard setup would help here, IMO. |

You don't have the Velcro strap they usually include to hold batts in place on V3 and up models? |

My 4xAAA holder has a velcro strap around the whole shebang, and it came that way. Of course, that was 5 years ago, so they may have stopped doing that, but that is another option if you don't like the rubber bands. |

So did mine. It also had electrical tape wrapped around the batteries to secure them. It makes changing them harder, but its a good way to keep them in place. It also reinforces the pack itself and helps protect it from impact damage. |

Same same. But I went with 1.25 inch vinyl cap plugs.............especially since I get them for free from discards at work - with 1.25 OD polycarb tubing cut to size so nothing rattles in the lightsaber. I'm still trying to figure out how to make a chassis for my diamond sabers...........but I would have to kill one to experiment on........which I really do not want to do. |

Yes, I do. It does help but I found that reinforcing that with rubber bands is the best solution. It’s not a huge deal, just something I’d like to see someday where they have a beefier battery holder that maybe didn’t require the Velcro. |
