Perfect. Much more lightside without the sleeves. The sleeves were giving it a count dooku kinda feel.

BTW, I see your Halo Mega Blocks. That was the set with the Gold Spartans, wasn't it? *is envious* lol

Seriously though, that looks great right there. I'd say it's a keeper of a Jedi costume. Maybe pick up good couple of leather pouches for the belt, if that's your style, but it looks great. Excellent work. Smiley

Thanks!  I am going to look into some leather pouches. cabelas has some little leather pouches for ruger 10/22 mags (the 10 rounders) That I think will work perfect. Also its a costume pleather belt so possibly I am going to be looking into finding the proper rivets to replicate it in real leather.

The spartans in that set are more yellow than gold really but they are still cool. Thats the other thing I am collecting for my baby boy, Halo megablocks and Star Wars action figures. His eight birthday is going to be EPIC!

Looks great man, definitely comes together nicely.

Side note: I'm sure besides the sleeves, the beard also gives it a Count Dooku kinda feel.  Wink Lol, I'm a lil envious of facial hair. I miss mine.

LOL Thanks bro!  I still like the sleeves also though. Mabey I will also make a red or maroon obi to wear with the sleaves for more of a millitant darker side costume. That would probably look bad @ss with the face tat that Jedi relmeob was talking about!

i like the one with the exposed sleeves, cloak and boots down. i think the maroon would better compliment the coloring on the gambeson but the green aint bad either. great start to a costume  Grin

Did you purchase that studded gambeson from Museum Replica's?

I have that same product.  I even use it occasionally for Renaissance Faires.

It certainly looks nice but to be honest, at least from a Ren. Faire perspective, it's not too terribly original mainly because nearly every faire I attend there is at least 2-3 other people wearing the same thing, hence I wear the under-sleeve addition but with the sleeves removed, which sadly makes the whole getup look really plain and... brown.

Regardless, it looks nice but I'm not so sure it works for being specifically a Star Wars character.

The studded gambeson looks really good on you, a lot better than it does on me and that Jedi belt is spectacular, but the only thing that's separating it from being a Renaissance Faire costume would be the Ultrasaber and maybe the belt.  I'd like to think that a tunic, leather jerkin, plain vest, or fancy doublet would be more Star Wars appropriate then that particular item, but it's mainly the studs that are throwing it off.
I'm not trying to be too rejecting of it though.  On you, it looks fantastic and it is a great start to a Star Wars costume.  Smiley

I used to be into the heavy combat, which is kinda like hitting people that are heavily armoured with a weapon made out of stck of rattan.

okay. any experience with what to use ,to draw one on, that washes off more effectivley?
Any store bought make-up stick will work perfect. MY experience has shown me that a dark blue fake tat looks waymore real than a black one.

For removal, I use cold cream. Any brand. That's what we used to remove stage make-up so it works with just about anything.

While you're at it, buy the 10/22 too. lol.  Got me one of those for plinking and it's a ton of fun.  Can't really use it for a costume though.  haha.

Adding the pouches will look awesome too.  And they're about the right size to hold blaster pistol reloads too.  So they'd work with a smuggler or bounty hunter costume as well.

Agreed here...a trio of standard eyeliner pencils will go a long way...black or dark smoke gray, deep blue or indigo, and a brown that is several shades darker than your skin (unless your skin is very dark then go the other way).

Layer the blue as a base, use the black to fine line the tips and fine edges of the tattoo, and then the brown to create depth in swirls, whorls, and bends.

LOL. I know what the SCA is; I was asking if that's the group that you were part of.

Thanks for the confirmation, anyway. What kingdom are you with?
