Ok, the first video is regarding the question of durability. The utilities in my neighborhood are underground so finding a light pole was out of the question. This was the best thing that I could find to give a demonstration of how durable a heavy grade blade is.
This next video deals with brightness. It is my understanding that your resistance determines your brightness. Some feel that size or type of batteries are the influence. I made the following video using Seoul P4 Red LED, 36 " from LED to Tip Heavy Grade Ultra Blades, resistored at 1000mA for all three sabers. The only difference is that one contains NiMH batteries, one contains Li Ion Batteries with sound, and one contains standard alkaline batteries. So, I'll let you be the judge as to which battery type gives you the brighter blade. This was created so that people can judge for themselves prior to purchasing the saber. I do know that some have expressed trouble getting Li Ion batteries in their areas due to environmental restrictions so I also did a comparison with Li Ion Removed from the video so that you evaluate those two independently.
As always, I try to provide some non opinion based videos from time to time to help new customers decide what options are best suited for their personal situation. Have a great day and happy sabering. Blue

Great comparo! Point for you. This should be stickied in the Questions subforum. Definitely a good way to see the different setups side by side.

I knew that I had to do three comparisons and they had to be as exact as possible for the battery setups. I knew that I had three Seoul P4 Reds and three heavy grade blades so Red was the only thing I could use. In addition, there has also been a question as to whether you can run a Seoul P4 Red at 1000 mA with something other than the Buck Puck so I included two additional sabers resistored to 1000mA. That is way more than the 700mA suggested in the past. I don't think you can do that with a Rebel Star Red without popping the LED. I have Blues and Greens in both Seoul and Rebels so I could not put three same brands together and I didn't have enough of other colors to do a three simultaneous comparisons. In all honesty, I let the Force be my guide in picking colors 90% of the time. I select random or I find things at yard sales. Blue will always be my favorite though.

Here's a flex test of my 36" Ultraedge heavy grade and my Padawan. For the record, this is the blade that I broke the tip off of, then repaired it.

Thanks guys! I think that was more fun for Padawan Gabe and I to make that vid. Saint, you only have to worry about what's going to happen to what you hit with the blade! These sabers are stronger than bokken, and I know this cause my saber is intact yet my bokken broke 6 years ago with me being less brutal with it.

That poor trash can....
Anyways, in my eyes it goes like this:
Li-ion > alkaline > NiMH
Don't know if you mentioned this or not in your vid, but were all batteries fully charged? I'd love to see a vid where the NiMH and alkaline batteries are fully charged and the Li-Ion are ready to die.
I think this thread should be seen by everyone new to Ultrasabers because it answers two main questions a LOT of people have when they are first introduced to them.

The Li-Ion and NiMH were fully charged. The alkaline were fresh out of a package.
