So..lets see. I had to spend an hour with a customer who could not remember when his rewards cards expired and would not accept that I could not check that. Which lead to me missing the fact water was pooling on the floor near the snack counter because of a popped water line to the fountain machine. Get completely drenched shutting the valve off. Which lead into spending another 30 minutes with a customer who would not accept that I could not do an exchange on an item my store does not carry. THEN the power cut off just for a second which caused the Registers to shut down. it takes 15-20 minutes for them to boot back up. Meanwhile, customers are asking can I just take cash....No! Until the system comes back up I can not sell you anything. The power does this THREE more times before the end of the day. All this in 6 hours as it was a half day.  Geez, talk about making you work hard on a Friday, DT. Sorry you had a bad day today, hopefully, it gets better and you’re off for the holiday weekend. |

I work at a grocery store. It has three shifts. I work graveyard. Graveyard is the only shift that does anything. We have to do our job plus two more shifts worth of work. We are losing hours. I am very tired of "killing myself" at work. I am looking for a another job.

I feel ya there Mike... I too have been there and done that. As a third shift retail employee you're expected to fix the store from the previous day, set it up and stock it for the next day, and deal with the overnight dregs of humanity that find it necessary to shop from 2-4am. Maybe 1 in 10 has a reason to be out shopping (medicine needed, work schedule, etc) but the other 9, drunk, stoned, homeless, or all three just looking for a place to hang out... |

...AND like the total dumbass that I am. I just flipped the lawnmower onto the wrong side while cleaning it before use. Now the air filter is full of oil. I'll have get a new one before I get to mow the stinkin' grass. |

Was intending on leaving soon for a morning workout... but oh no... I just had to after several months go and have a look at Drahcir's saber customization thread. Now I don't think that the Sentinel that was just completed is quite done. Back to the drawing board. Thank goodness that it hasn't been protective coated yet... because it is raining all weekend and I need warm weather for the coating to seal properly.  |
