Hi all.  Just working on my plan of attack for combos from my recent orders.  Based on the (in-transit) parts below, my rusty permutations/factorials math skills estimate several hundred(!) unique combinations.   :o   Never mind the rainbow of blade colours with AS and colour disks/Lee's filters.   ;)   However, with so many combos having variations in only part-colours, there will probably be only(!) a couple dozen significant sabers to arise from this builder's buffet.   ::)

Sorry for the teaser posts, but I'm seriously stoked and had to see this typed out to start imagining the results.   :P   The first of two orders is due in a couple of days.  I'm looking forward to sharing the pix...

Bodies:  Archon, Malice
Emitters:  Archon, Consular, Dark Archon?*, Dark Shock, Malice, Manticore, War Glaive/Black Claws
Necks:  Archon x2, Dark Arbiter, Malice
Vented Couplers**:  Black, Silver, Black/Silver, Black Flush, Silver Flush
Pommels:  Archon, Archon Classic, Consular, Dark Prophecy, Dark Shock, Malice Silver Square, Manticore High Profile, Prophecy

* I'd ordered the Archon neck/emitter and pommel separately, originally not planning to order an Archon saber.   I was able to avoid duplicating the pommel by ordering the Archon Classic (all silver) pommel with the saber.  This still leaves the neck and emitter duplicated.  I'm considering attempting to spray-match the emitter to anodized black.  The extra neck is just too pretty to frack around with.  A saber with the Archon neck doubled, OR on both the emitter and pommel ends, might prove interesting...

This is interesting.  I am getting stoked to see the pics and can only imagine how you feel about actually holding all these combos. 

Oops.  Forgot the Archon neck is male on both ends.  No doubling or book-ending.   :-[  8)

Saint's been somewhat dormant as parts trickled in, but new pix are ready.  The following were created with the help of a few non-US parts; 1" female/female adapters (x3), a tapered emitter, a choke, a tapered pommel, and a handful of anodized trim rings (3 black, 4 silver, and 4 crimson ! )...and of course mucho US emitters, couplers, bodies, and pommels!   :)  

There are just TOO many combos to show them all, so I've included what I consider the best of my artistic endeavours so far.  Usually my phone takes great shots, but far too many of these are less than optimal.  Apologies, and hope you enjoy anyway...   :-[

Thanks for lookin'.  For those hawk-eyes wondering about the emitter/coupler on the Dark Initiate LE, it's only held in place by the Archon emitter set screw...  8)

PS  Is there anyone here "in the know" who might confirm that the Crimson Reaper's anodizing matches the anodizing on the crimson trim rings I used from "that other place" ?  

PPS  Gotta have some love for that poor Aeon LE stunt...no MHS compatibility.   :(  Now, if I had a Shock LE emitter, you can be sure it's be set-screwed atop the Aeon.   ;)

First off,  I LOVE the War Glaive emitter/Archon body saber!!  It has a very sinister look to it that just demands my attention.  I love your choice in the short style choke.....I have this very one on my Malice.  Funny how changing one little piece can turn it into a whole another saber.  I must say I am drooling over those trim rings....now I must get me some of those, they look totally awesome!  Quick question.....does having all those parts and saber make your head hurt ....from the sheer number of possibilities...I know it does mine just sitting here looking at them LOL!

I haven't been able to find a picture of a Archon V2 with an overlord emitter anywhere. I can see you have the parts, could you please help me out? I'd love to see the overlord emitter on directly but I'd even more love to see the Archon V2 with the neck and then the overlord emitter. (It requires a female-female adapter but not really needed for pictures.) The reason for this request is I want to have a neck for handling/spinning, but I love the windowed look. The vented coupler looks great on the Archon, but it kinda ruins the feeling a good neck gives.

Great pictures too!  I like the ones with the War Glaive emitter and the "bullet emitter".  I don't know what it's called.  Looks maybe like a Catalyst emitter but I'm not sure.

Thank you so much. From your pics I can see the regular overlord emitter would look great on the Archon V2, but with the neck, the adapter, and the emitter it simply becomes too long for my taste.

The answer to TWO is sadly no. He uses the accent rings between parts (where parts are screwed together). The prophecy is not assembled where you have made the lines in your picture. The only place you can put an accent ring on the prophecy would be between the main body and the pommel.

Thanks DV.   When my first US (CE Graflex) arrived, I explained to her that I wasn't a "one-saber" kind of guy.  I have an open an honest relationship with all of my ladies.  When I'm giving one loving attention in any given moment, the other eight know I'm also thinking of them.    ;)  :-[  8) 

Gold was an option.  Unfortunately, the source has no immediate plans to manufacture more.  There are four ring designs to choose from.  Two are currently available in crimson, one in black, and all four in silver/bare aluminum.  I'll PM you the link.  Thanks to OJ for answering Q2.

Oh Snap!  The first pic in the last series of the dark monarch with war glaive emitter grenade grip and dark shock pommel is exactly what I want a saber to be. That's the most stunning saber ive ever seen! How did you attach a war glair emitter to a dark monarch emitter?   Absolutely beautiful!

Ahhh, you refer to Saint's Secret recipe for non-MHS emitter sabers.   ;)

Just hold the new emitter (plus anything else you want to add between) snuggly to the non-MHS emitter, and tighten the set screw of the new one.   8)

I'm not sure I'd want to duel without the security of threading, but it makes a great show piece.  I haven't tried blade plugs with these creations yet.  I'm thinking I'd need a much longer custom plug to ensure both the original and new set screws bite into the plug.

Some of those border on ludicrous. lol.  The Consular with the vented coupler and Archon emitter looks REALLY good though.  I like it.  Do you have a pic of it with the Consular's shroud on too?

The one picture, no make that two, that really stood out for me was the Guardian saber alteration.  I personally think that that was the best of the bunch.

I also like the red trim on the emitters and pommels when combined with the sabers.  Nice!

Yeah, that one's my current fave of my experiments.  I replaced the pictured Manty high-profile pommel with the custom short tapered pommel and it looks better again.  (Dark) Reaper stunt, Dark War Glaive pommel, and a few more custom parts are due mid/late next week.  Mwahhh-ahh-ahh-ahh-ah (with wringing hands)...  :o >:( ;D

This the new thread for mixing and match parts? Bravo Saint. Lots of good looking combos in here. You could supply a small army with these... Wait, are you building an army? You've cloned yourself haven't you.

Hey gang.  New pix featuring Reaper parts below.  A while back, I found some chrome and brass rings in the chain/hinge section at Kent's (Canadian home improvement).  I originally passed because the closest sizes were 1" (too small) and 1.25" (too big).  An ah-ha moment combined black o-rings above and below each 1.25"-er. The o-rings sit at the base of a threaded male, and carefully positioned at the very edge outside a female end.  It takes a little finessing as the o-rings can twist and roll.  The trick is to get them neutral or just poised to roll off the female end.  End result - nice, thick, shiny and snug metal accent rings.  Enjoy!

SA:  Archon v2 body + flush black coupler with vents + TCCS 1.2" double female adapter + TCCS blade holder (style 13) + TCCS Covertec button thumbscrew (crimson) + TCCS trim ring 1 (crimson x4) + TCCS style 4 pommel (insert style 6...not shown)

Note:  The Covertech thumbscrew leaves too much of its threading exposed when used alone.  However, it replaces the original wheel's socket screw nicely, keeping the original wheel in place.  It sticks out a bit more than I like, but sacrifices must be made...for CRIMSON!  This is my favourite creation to date and looks smokin' in Adegan Silver!

PS  Sorry Deep and Ultra for so many other parts, especially on this one.  I'd happily pay a mark-up if you sold TCCS parts as well.  It'd save me shipping!   ;D

Note:   I'd tried the Consular pommel before, but the brass ring really completes this modest customization; coordinating with the small jewelled brass knob near the emitter (extra pic below).  Interestingly, the girth of the Guardian body and Consular pommel allow the 1.25" brass ring to be used without o-ring support...

Note:  I wanted an all-black grenade grip so I just added back o-rings to all the silver grooves of the Dark Arbiter neck (see additional pix below).  I was both surprised and pleased with how it flowed with the Consular's black body grooves.  The o-rings provide awesome grip for a high one-hander, or second hand.  This is my second favorite creation.  It's just a flick to change it from its new bastard-sword configuration back to my elegant nickel ConsuLord.   ;D

Thanks VV.  For most designs, it's the adapter pieces that allow the US emitters, necks, and pommels to be mixed and matched in so many ways.  As an example, I think it took three different adapters in series to get the Reaper shroud onto the emitter end of the Archon body, which is too thick for the shroud  The trim rings are the icing on the cake.

As with my sabers, I went overboard with rings and adapters.   :-[   A cost effective (~$100) kit would be: female/female x 2, female/male x 2, male/male x1, and 4 trim rings of one's preferred design/colour.  With one MHS emitter/pommel Ultra Saber and a couple Ultra Saber emitters, necks, couplers and pommels (and the above kit), someone could easily have over a dozen relatively unique designs.   8)

If I could request a few comparison shots of an Archon (pommel, body, emitter) replacing the neck with the new vented flush coupler in both finishes.  I'm thinking the black makes it look 'thinner' but the silver would make it seem brighter? idk.  Which do you prefer?  I have a Green a/v with SRD UEMG if that would influence your opinion.

Not "some", all the thread (is showing).  :)  As per my caption on the first pic, the Reaper's windowed-neck has no threading whatsoever; neither male nor female.  The Reaper's slanted emitter tip slides on top of it and is held in place with two set screws.

The Malice emitter isn't big enough to slip over, and can't screw into, the Reaper neck.   :(

Pardon the musical pun in the (subject), but I was swapping the nickel pommels between my Consu-Lord and Graf and was inspired.  

With the 2-tone of the CE Graf, a silver trim ring 'tween the body and pommel just works:

Although I've yet to come across nickel trim rings, a silver grooved ring with a black o-ring reflects the light such that you can fool your eyes that it's nickel.  Didn't fool the camera quite as easily.   :)  Also adding just an o-ring between body and pommel give just that pinch of detail/refinement:

I thought the Bane emitter wasn't compatible with other 'sabres (or vice versa) but there seems to be nothing you can't do, Saint. Can I ask, have you been able to fit other emitters to the Bane body, or was this a job that took a lot of machining?

Hey D'.

Just slide whatever emitter (plus anything else you want to add between) down the blade, hold snuggly to the non-MHS emitter, and tighten the set screw of the added emitter.  Most emitters are threaded so for looks you need to add trim rings, O-rings, or a double female adapter to hide the threads.  When browsing during a recent order, I noted that the Bane emitter had no threads.  Even better!   ;D

As long as you're firm with the set screw of the added emitter, this cheat is super solid.  It should be noted that without the blade, this would require an extra long blade plug.  Just as with the blade, it's secured to the non-MHS (emitter) first.  The added emitter is then secured to the blade.  In neither situation is the added emitter actually secured to the hilt.   :o  8)  ;D

Sorry Lads.  Of the 4 styles, only one is still available in anything other than silver (black).  Gold sold out before I showed up.  Crimsons are now n/a as well.   :'(

A few more minor accessories arrived and necessitated some tweaking; which necessitated...NEW PIX!!!  ;D  The Initiates to the Reaper, inclusive, are stunts; from the Graflex's to the wall...Obsidians.  My collection's design philosophy is to (hopefully) have a unique and balanced esthetic for each saber, and to avoid using the same emitter or pommel twice.  Keen eyes will spot the exceptions.   :)

By the Force! Your collection just keeps getting more impressive every week! Awesome creations Mighty Sage! If I had your funds, I too would go insane with US customizations! I really like the Graflex Sith Edition with the covertec wheel replacing the rabbit ears! And the Reaper pommel really tops it off! Point for more awesomeness!

Thanks DP.  I was wondering if anyone else might like that Sith Edition (SE) Graflex.  :)  It started out with just a black Prophecy pommel, before Reaper inspiration struck.  I was also pleased with the look of the slight extension to the Reapommel.   :D

Other sith-ization so far is a bulkier, less elegant, blade retention bolt, and I swapped out the activation-box screws with black.  I'm hoping Deep can hook me up with a black activation-box from the Malice parts list.  If not, I'll convert my current to black; preferring a nicer black-anodized.   :)  I also went to bronze accent buttons as a...darker, tainted gold; and of course the red AV/BR blade to contrast my CE's green/CG.

If anyone has any further ideas, please post here or PM me!  I originally just bought the SE because it was deal of the day and I wanted to get a second raffle ticket.   :-[   I've been pleasantly surprised by what I thought was one of the least customizable (in my usual lazy way) Ultra Sabers.   ;D

I'm in a...unique, but temporary, situation that has allowed me to spend foolishly (not recommended).  Can't get into details, but it is ending soon.  Since discovering Ultras Sabers in October 2012, it has undoubtedly been the focus of my obsessing and compulsion.  As per some of my non-US pix, I'm obviously a collector, but LOVE the outlet for pent creativity these (as one of my Buds call them) laser swords provide.   ;D ;D ;D

Awsome collection. I looked carfully and I believe every saber that can have parts changed, has something changed. I love the pictures with the blades all lit up. It reminds me of Christmas...the best Christmas ever!!

Thanks Mal.  This baby just looks so...pure...like us!  ;)  Sooooo lovin' silver + silver.  My original inclination was the same as many, SY + yellow AV.  While that's certainly awesome, I need to be different (not sure if I'm the first with that combo on the Shock LE).   ;D

Alchemy for Angelic Avenger is:

Shock LE (of course) in AS with CG flash (subtle, but suits) and silver AV + Ultra Sabers' Flush Coupler With Vents + TCSS short double-female adapter + 4 TCSS bevelled trim rings for ALL the joins.

hmm, I can't decide if I want to pull the trigger on 2 Manticore emitters or not for my Dark Arbiter staff.  My 2nd Dark Arbiter arrives on Wednesday along with the coupler (and my raffle prize)  I just really want to change out the emitters on both ends of the staff, i've never liked the emitter that comes with the Dark Arbiter.  What do you think Saint, any other suggestions?

Consular body (nickel shroud) + Overlord emitter (nickel) + Overlord pommel (nickel) + Dark Arbiter neck + Kent's 1.25" brass ring (x2) + TCCS black o-ring (x12)

Was just reviewing my last (ancient) batch of pix...  A few additions and SO many tweaks in the last 8 months.  Updated pixs soon.

In the mean time, I just wanted to wish all a happy and safe holiday season.  I'm still with you in spirit and am always lurking in the shadow waiting for Emory's next announcement.  ;)   I'm not a TC fan, but LOVE the new Omen's body and pommel!!!

Warms my heart that this thread continues near the top of the most-viewed list.  Stay tuned for a gallery of my collection's current configs.  Some of my lengthier constructs have been trimmed down as I've become a fan of slimmer and sleeker.  Curiously, the simpler (sleek & sexy) Prophecy is my favorite of my dozen+...depending on my mood.  :)   My lack of tweaking lately tells me I'm as pleased as I can be within materials and ability.

Hey haldir.  The Overlord was originally VA, but I snipped out the red resistor to get this full blue/red mix.  Not sure if that's how US's does BH, but that's what it looks like to me.  :)

The Malice is actually AS with a gold filter.  OK, but doesn't compare to the Consu-lord's awesome SY!

My eyes were not ready for the awesomeness i just witnessed! Theres one thing im curious about though..how did u get an emitter on the initiate?!  :o

Well the emitter can slide over the blade, right? And it has a set screw, so if you rest the emitter on top of the Initiate and tighten said screw it would hold. Works well with other fixed emitter sabers like the Liberators, Dominix, Standards, and Prophecies. Archon emitter without neck fits perfectly over the Liberator's emitter btw.
