Title: RGB LEDs - Arctic Blue? Post by: iamkiki on April 30, 2011, 10:33:50 PM Just curious, is the Arctic Blue made from an RGB LED?

I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. I believe that the red die is missing (for AB, the unused RGB color for other mixed colors) from the wafer, so you wouldn't be able to use that one. You probably could re-wire AB to SRD by changing resistors, or even single out a die possibly to have a second switch turn VA in to red for example. That is all just educated speculation though, I'm not really that great with wiring - more mechanical than electrical. ;) Title: Re: RGB LEDs - Arctic Blue? That's correct for RGB, but I'm pretty sure there is no red LED in AB as Guitardrmr was asking. |
