"Smerks and nods his head" oh yah that. Its actually the core of a brushless motor ( a brushless motor is one where the magnets spin around the core rather than the core spinning inside the magnets for a brushed motor)that had broke a while back abd had laying around. I still need some blade material or thin plastic tube inorder ot make it a complete blade plug so it would sit where I want it . I wanted to soder the aluminum spinner that held the prop to the motor but I couldn't get the soder to bond with the aluminum so I just made sortof a puddle and capped the hole in the center |

Those close ups are incredible and I have to agree with scrams, that blade plug is wicked.
You just have to shake your head and laugh with wonderment for the ingenuity of this community on customizations.

Relan---I just had a thought while looking at your closeups of the engravings...forgive any phrasing as I am unsure how to word this properly...to somehow highlight or 'go-over' the engravings again to give it both depth and/or a different color so they can stand out and to match your overall color theme you have?

I will go over them again eventually as soon as I can find the right kind of paint that will stick and a thinner paint brush ( payday is around the corner) but tanks |

the motor core blade plug was actually out of the motor of one of my model air planes I always keep the parts even after they have ceashed and unflyable or a part burns out like this one the conector s broke off ands beyond repaire. I've seen them used in componets for crystal chambers before so...it got Me thinking and what do you know it fits perfictly I've just got to find a plastic tube that is the same diamater as the blade (1") and has a wall thin enough to fit the motor core I've already have material that I can use as a defuser then I'll have a complete blade plug |
