Mon Calamari jedi Seeks Help!

 Hi guys! Sleezog Trang here trying to get my hands on any Mon Calamari mask/hands. I can't find any on EBay or anywhere. Please help a guy out with some leads to help me complete my Mon Calamari jedi costume by Halloweeen this year! "It's a trap!"

the mask wasn't cheap. i paid a pretty penny for it. it's made by an artist up in utah. he hand carved the mold and hand painted the mask. he's got the mold and has sold several of them. drop him a line, here is a link to the site he has up. be warned the site is still under construction. but browse around a bit. he's crafted several alien masks from star wars. send him an email through the contact link

Wowieee. Sir that is exactly what I was looking for. That costume looks so amazing! I've sent an Email to him and I'm just waiting for a response. I must say, to join the forum just to help a guy out is sincerely appreciated. Stay awhile.....and listen. If the Con stuff is up your alley, this community right here is soooo helpful and there is so much shared love and info about custom lightsabers, jedi costumes, actual saberplay advice (spinning up to pseudo martial arts), roleplay, or just love for the material. Welcome.
   
My health has improved and well as my coordination, all doing what I love. And it is thanks to the little things people do for each other is this particular community. Drop in from time to time and see what going on. Maybe someone will be able to help you as you have helped me. Much appreciated.

i've stuck around some. posted the pics for others to see (once i figured out how to) and suggested to the costume help thread to add his link to the mask section. i hope you took a look at his other masks too. i may eventually pick up a quarren one too.

my costume is pretty much done. just a few mods need to be made. mainly on functionality. i noticed a few things wearing it to my first con. but my next project is to make a lightsaber hilt carved completely out of one solid piece of wood. and before you say holy crap. i have a lathe so its not that big of a deal. just got to order the electronics. i'll end up posting that for opinions when i'm done with it.

There are a lot of people on here that would love to see that. A wooden hilt is a rarity around here and there are those that have been asking for one for a while to be carried by US. Sounds like a great project!

it will probably end up being a weird shape though. i want to make it fit better in my mon calamari hands

I talked to the guy you suggested and you're right- its not cheap. But the work is top-notch. I should have a set ordered by mid-July. I'll post pics, or maybe do a review in it....ha! Thanks buddy!

Phew I wonder if that guy has all creative licenses... He can get into some serious trouble marketing it the way he is marketing it.

Even saying based on the character from Star Wars tm does not usually help... Hopefully he has a deal with Disney or something as just putting tm on something doesnt make it legal, unless he is paying a licensing fee to Disney.

Thanks for the link. I have to say that your mon calamari looks great. I have been entertaining the idea of a quarren sith for some time and it's good to have the means to find such a thing should I ever decide to take the plunge.
