I started a new topic for this, this costume is a budget Starkiller Training Gear outfit from The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition.
I picked this costume for one of the company's year end parties, which was themed: Villains and Superheroes.

The costume is mostly created from existing materials on hand, I outsourced the sewing aspect as I have 0 skill in sewing  Tongue

Here are some reference images of the Training Gear outift:

And I used the image gallery from The Flagship Eclipse

First important thing to know is I don't wear brown, or colour in general, so my colour scheme for this was black and grey.

Here's the outfit:

Pic taken about midnight after the party, plus I'm light sensitive so I look squinty in photos  Tongue

The components of my costume:

Pants: The easiest part, I used a pair of black jeans.
Shirt: I used an old long-sleeve black top that was a bit too short for me, I simply cut the sleeves to mimic the tears on Starkiller's outfit
Hands: A colleague let me use his black martial arts handwraps and showed me how to wrap them, this gave me the wrapped glove look.
Bandages: Bandages are cheap to buy and there were some at home as well, I used crepe bandages mostly as they are stretchy.
Belts: This part was the most expensive part: I bought 6 black leather belts at the flea market, 5 of them are identical and the buckles could be changed, I bought 5 black buckles with these and turned the buckles the wrong way around so that the belts could be joined together, with the ends underneath the previous belt. I then wrapped the 6 belts around and buckled the end of the first belt in to the buckle of the last.  Smiley
Loin Cloth: This was outsourced (to the mother for her L33t sewing skills), it is grey material with an elastic waistband. It's kinda like a partial skirt, the ends were cut to have the tattered look.
Boots: This was tricky as I don't have any actual boots. I used some rugged looking work shoes as the base but it looked weird to wrap the bandages as my legs looked too skinny for the shoes. As a last minute idea I got some corrugated packing cardboard from the garage, cut out 2 1m x 30cm pieces and then further divided the 1m pieces in to 3 pieces. I layered the 3 pieces over each other and wrapped them around my lower leg and stapled them together in their rough position.
I then took the 2 "shin guards" and spraypainted them black, once done I used a ballpoint pen to make 2 holes on each side of the guards and used string to tie them in place on my legs. The bandage wrapping did most of the work holding these in place and made it look more like boots.
Armour: The armour was also a tricky issue, I didn't have as much time or practice to try making foam armour, I considered cardboard but ended up with a more comfortable solution: a thin polo fleece covered in the grey material (as used for the loincloth), straps were added with the front ones having velcro so that the material harness-like armour could be closed up.
Lightsaber: I used my FO Raven (standard claws, SS pommel) and simply changed the MLS to Blazing Red. I wore my covertec clip and had my blade plug and hex wrench in the office so that I could take the blade out when needed (think food)

Some pics with the saber:

Some pics at the party:

The Hulk, Batgirl and Black Widow in the background. And a cowboy  Roll Eyes

Lara Croft behind my right side, the rest of IT to my left.

An evil glow in my eyes, the Dark Side is strong here.

And that's just how much that Blazing Red blazes

And pics with the blade out and saber safely clipped to my belt:

Ah, a chance to sit and have a chat after food  Smiley

Ha! My power exceeds your flash, camera!

Well that's all I have for now  Cheesy

Not gonna lie, this turned out pretty good.

Not completely accurate but as you said, this was done with material on hand. And for that, definitely get a point. Good job Schimatar.

Quite impressive for something you have mainly made out of material you already had.

Are you planning to upgrade your costume, e.g. by getting some real boots?

That's really not bad at all. If you can get some foam or something, you could probably add to it and make the "metal" components over time.

I actually went with this costume because it would be simpler to make on the short notice.
What I'd really like to do is cosplay at rAge as a Sith Inquisitor  Cool (clickable images below)

Wow. This costume will either be a lot of work or extremely expensive.

Would be incredibly awesome though.

Good luck with it.  Smiley

For the most part it looks to me that the costume will be layers of robes or similar, as for the shoulder and bracer armour I was inspired to use foam by AlthaxX's thread and the YouTube vid linked in there.

For the helm I think I'll need to either make the face plate out of foam or something, spraypaint it mirror chrome silver and use cheap reflective flea market sunglass lenses so I can see through it  Cool

I'm mostly in contemplation phase right now Smiley

Still a cool costume. Better than mine. xp Mines kinda junky but eh. It'll do for now. Check mine out if you want. I know it don't pass costuming regulars but oh well. Not everyone can go all fancy like. Plus I just wanted something basic but good looking anyway. =] I like the end results for mine.
