Just curious.......how does that dark arbiter pommel feel on it? Does it maintain a good sense of balance?

The Arbiter pommel actually feels really nice on it. Then again, I'm a bit obsessed with that pommel. I've used it on just about every saber I have at one time or another.
I did the same as you and I ordered a stunt and damn it breaks down into more parts! AWESOME!!!!! Super excited!
Sweet man, I hope you love it as much as I do!
This is awesome! Great review, and an awesome looking saber! DAH! I sense a disturbance in my already empty wallet! In the words of Obi-Wan: "Not good..." lol This is really tempting to start saving up for, even if you forget about how good it looks, just thinking about all those MHS pieces to play with would drive you bonkers. Too cool.

Oh yeah man, it's an amazing saber! *Waves hand* you must purchase one...especially with the sale going on!
First review of the Reaper that I've seen, and fully convincing that this saber is a piece of art. Thanks for the awesome review, Ben!
Edit: forgot to mention how nice the Arby pommel is on that thing! It balances out the silver on the emitter. The Guardian pommel would rock on the Dark Reaper, I think. Again, thanks for posting!!
Thanks for the compliment! I really try to go into detail with my sabers, and this one is just too beautiful not to try to do justice to it with a wordy review. I'll try a pic of the Guardian pommel tomorrow maybe...once my camera batteries are full again. Hmm...just got an idea to add a bunch of pics to the emitter/pommel reference guide.
Hey, nice review. I have my reaper in the mail and it should be here next week. I was wondering if the screw holding the claws in are the same size screw that holds the blade in? Can you use the blade retention wrench to unscrew the claws or do you need to buy a different wrench?
Congrats! The claw screws are different from the retention screw actually. They seem to be a size or two bigger. Now, the retention screws to turn the pommel (and I assume the emitter) are the same size as the retention screw.
Great review Ben! Now I'm thinking about getting one in HP... killing two birds with one stone, so to speak

You definitely should! And besides, with the ability to use QDs, there is no reason not to experiment with a color. I actually didn't have a BR saber, so I got the BR QDs on this one.
Great review, Ben! I might get one, sooner or later.
Like I said to everyone else, you definitely should!
Very cool Ben! Love the SY on the Crimson hilt. One question: the red anodizing still looks very bright in the pictures (probably b/c of the flash). Is it really bright in person, or more of a darker blood-red type color?
That's something actually that happened with the camera flash and the light above my work bench. I've got fluorescent lights down there and it makes it brighter. While it isn't quite blood red, it IS a Crimson color.
Nice saber. Looks sick in SY.
Thanks a lot! I love my SY LED.
Great review! I was wondering-- are the screw holes fit such that an upper claw (with holes on inside of claw) could be used fort the pommel claw (which looks inverted so the holes are on the outside of the claw)? Does that make sense? For me that symmetry would make the reaper a 10... or maybe i just need a Reaper Staff!!
As far as I can tell, you could swap the claws so that the one on the emitter is exchanged with the pommel. They both have two screws holding them in. Hopefully that answers your question!
What is the best pummel (in your opinion) for the Reaper?
Well, if you want to pummel someone, I'd say use the Guardian pommel. Of course, I'm kidding. For pommels, I'm something of a nut for the Arbiter pommel. That said, I REALLY like this Crimson Reaper pommel.
great review, i really like the pics of the full length of the saber and the pics of the saber broken down showing what it consists of. MAN , i cant wait for next tuesday to get here, i want my crimson reaper here soooooooo bad.
You'll definitely need to post a review of your own when it arrives! Thanks for the comment on the pics!
Excellent review, this will be my next order! Can the claw at the pommel be oriented on the opposite side of the saber? I ask because the way I wield 2 handed I think ,if it matched the emitter claw,it would catch my arm. I want a stunt Crimson Reaper in PO!
Thanks a lot! Deep already answered your question, but I have a pic for you! They're just uploading now, but I'll post it when it's all done. I found your fear to be true...when they were lined up together, the claw caught my arm a couple of times. I switched it to face the opposite way, and it's perfect!
