My Manticore review (color modified)

Hey guys!

Well it's my first review ever, and probably not the best you've ever seen. But maybe you'll have a look at my Manticore i got from Ultrasabers. I did not have installed a quick disconnect function for collecting the LED colors so i just installed something similar myself. Now i can just swap around all of my LED colors and try to find the best looking Manticore ever ;-) right now, i have installed a Violet Amethyst with a silver flash on clash. But i modified this a little by useing a light orange color disc. (Yeah i know you will hear that a lot in the review, but it was late ;-)) So it turned into magenta. Maybe it's a little bit like the Forum exclusive color Bane's heart, but i haven't seen this in real so you should be able to compare that.

The Video was taken with my GoPro Hero2 action cam, so sorry for the bad sounds maybe and the angle. I'll try to fix that in my upcomming reviews on my other sabers.

Nice. I don't think its pink pink, but a lighter Violet Amethyst. I like it. Though I thought you couldn't use the color disks on single color leds. Or are they different than lee filters? I might try to alter the blue on my Bellicose then if you can.

Hi Galiewen!

I enjoyed your colour filter presentation a lot.  It was quite informative; I myself will be doing experimentations with my saber with LEE filters in the next few weeks, months, etc.  May I suggest getting LEE filters if you plan to change up your saber colours; it offers you a variety of colour options and combos.

As an aside, I myself have a little technical know-how but I'm wondering what you did to install your own version of a quick disconnect.  I opted out of a quick disconnect on one of my saber and I do not wish to send it in; if I can do it myself, I will.

P.S.  My brother has the exact keyboard/mouse combo but he has the Old Republic insignia on his mouse.

Violet amethyst is a two color LED. Should be blue and red. The only single colors I think are Red, Green and Blue.

VA is created with a RGB - three-colored - LED.

FO and AS are also made with single-color LEDs.

Hi again,

I've added a picture of my interpretation of "quick disconnect". As mentioned in the Video, i would have chosen this to all of my sabers directly, but i've started my collection with a Guardian, and there was no option for quick disconnect so i did not even know it at that time. I used a little bit solder on the blank cable to avoid that it would loose the contact to the used pins. And i definately recomend to mark all parts because sometimes the color of the cables inside the saber might not be the same as used on the LED /MLS unit.

Glad to finally see your sabers and to learn something. Great review, very nice colors. And the individual quick disconnect hints at a road of further customization ahead ... ??
