well im going to get a phantasm with red blades and i am going to be dueling with it, not every day but i will want to duel with it when the time comes and i want to know what blade i should get, should i get just plain ultraedge or the plain heavy grade or the ultraedge heavy grade im not going to get the standard midgrade cause i know thats out of the picture. just some insight on what you think would be the best and show the red color the best.

Have you, like, seen how fast the price of gas is going up?
As for blades, after you've decided on Heavy Grade, the rest is purely personal taste. My suggestion is, since you will undoubtedly purchase another saber after your first in the next year (bet you can't eat just one), be sure to end up with one in each edge. My preference is the standard edge. I think it looks more like a light saber when lit. I am in the minority.

I think red looks best in standard edge, but I think green and guardian blue look best in ultraedge, this is just my taste though, the regular blades tend to be more intense towards the emitter like that burst look in the movies. The regular does not light up around the edge of the blade where as the ultraedge is full all the way through. In short I think that the type of blade I buy depends on what color I buy. so whats your verdict if i wanted red you would go with standard but i feel like the standard looks cheap idk why but you know those target and walmart saber those blades are clear like the standard and idk the ultraedge looks better i dont know why lol

what im trying to say is the clear standard edge blades remind me of those cheap walmart sabers that had clear blades that only folded down to the last section and didnt go all the way into the hilt but idk if you say red looks best on them i might have to go with standard edge heavy grade.

actually i take it back the ultra sabers standard edge blades dont look anything like the clear walmart ones nevermind now i still have to decide tho.

i say get both of each blade thats really the only way to decide i first had standard grade blades and i thought they were awesome then i got one ultra edge blade and now all i use is ultra edge blades in my saber just because i love how full the blade color is. people can state there reasons for the love for each blade type but only you can decide

I think my suggestion works well because of this sticker shock. Make your best guess as to what you will prefer, like I said, the majority will suggest the Ultra Edge. Next saber you get (and I can pretty much guarantee there will be a next saber) get the other. From that point on, you'll know what you like. Rest assured, they both look "good". I think Standard Edge looks "better". Most don't. One thing that's not arguable however is that the standard edge blades, heavy duty or not, show scuff marks way, WAY more than the Ultra Edge. |
