What to buy?

So I will be able to purchase my first saber with sound in roughly a week. The problem is there are a couple of options for what I have been considering as far as hilts and colors go. I'm having a hard time picking between SY w/ FO FoC, or PO w/ FO or silver FoC. Aside from hilt, there are 2 hilts that I'm really eyeballing, those being the crimson reaper and the manticore. I'm posting this topic to see what you guys would suggest, and I'll let you all know when I do make the order!

Which ever reaslly draws you to it. My next one will be a Shock LE with a TCSS choke. I put my choke on my wife's and it looked old school and nice.

Both hilts are nice so you won't go wrong either way.  If I had to pick one over the other, I would go with the Manticore with the short pommel.  It looks really nice to add a silver covertec centered up in the first black segment closest to the pommel.  Its a shorter saber and the emitter is just uber-cool looking.  On your FoC colors, I think you are making a mistake and will be disappointed in the results.  SY to FO is going to barely show up.  Same for PO to FO.  I have an FO to SY FoC unit in my Archon and, like I said, you can barely see the difference...the blade barely flickers.  SY to AS looks great, and PO to AS will be bright and noticeable as well.

Although I don't have FOC on mine, I suspect Schtuperman is correct - a contrasting colour is probably best to get the most out of the feature.

Silver is popular for a good reason - it looks great as a flash, and pretty true to the films. For SY, though, it may not look different enough - I guess it depends how deep a yellow it is. You may want to check some videos to see how well it shows up.

It's a shame you can't get red as a clash for yellow, as that would make an awesome contrast.

Thanks for the suggestions and info guys! I'm assuming the biggest reason a high contrast is better probably has to do with how fast it flickers, which seems difficult to picture without seeing it in person. I'm kinda leaning more toward a SY w/ AS FoC crimson reaper now, but we'll see. Still have a bit of time before I can make the order. Like I said, thanks for the pointers and I'll let you guys know what I get when the time comes!
