Next month, I'll be going on a flight to L.A and wanted to know if airport security will confiscate the lightsaber that I will be bringing along for a big event that I'll be attending there. So my question is.. is it okay to take a lightsaber along on a flight?

will you be bringing it with you as a carry on or will it go into the baggage compartment of the plane?

To be safe, I'll probably leave it in one of my luggage and it'll go into the baggge compartment. That is if they'll allow it..  Roll Eyes

Why would the TSA care about someone bringing a metal cylinder on board an aircraft?? Shocked

In all seriousness, pack it in a bag and check the bag. You can transport firearms this way, so a saber s Hoyle be fine.

Well, I have some experience with this one, hah. I have been to a couple of cons before and have done this a couple of times, and each time was a little different. I carried the saber on with me, just because I figured if they were to see it without me letting them know about it, they might have freaked out a bit. Maybe. That was just what I was thinking. So, I placed it in my backpack I had with me. I took the blade off as well. I will tell you the one instance it did cause some sort of trouble. When I went through, I put everything through the scanner and showed it to them. I let them see the blade and what it was made of and also the saber itself. I had my Maul saber, so some of the guys were actually having fun with it. The other one just kind of looked at it and gave me a little bit of hastle getting through. Then again, he had never heard about star wars. So that could be the reason. Even the other guards and the people in the line were kind of laughing about the whole situation. Either way though, it is up to you whether or not you want to put it down in the plane or with you. I personally did not want my saber anywhere out of my sight. So, I was upfront with everyone there and showed them the saber itself. Even took the batteries out and everything else. Most people have not had issues. But, everyone is different. Just be honest and nice. That is my best bet. Odds are you might not be the first person going through with a lightsaber.

Well, there is a couple ways to ship the saber, but not are really handled by US per say. I mean, there is FedEx, UPS, USPS, but really nothing by them. As for store credit, I would say email [email protected] to ask them for an exact response.

I would heed our Masters wisdom in this matter friend  Wink lest you end up where Harold and Kumar did in their second movie   Lips sealed lol.
