-Build Quality and Construction
The Dark Arbiter is a great long sturdy hilt with both an MHS (Modular Hilt System) Emitter and Pommel as well as a nice MHS Grip extension.
-Saber Design
The design of the Dark Arbiter is one of the longest in the Ultra Sabers lineup, and is perfect for two handed combat. I really like the Round groves and how they are accented by the black anodization. The grip MHS section at the top is really great for both one and two handed wielding. The stock emitter is really nice and simple. I wish Ultra Sabers sold it separately. The pommel is the same as the Archon V2.1 and looks really nice on it.
-What are the features?
I ordered mine in Sun Rider’s Destiny with a Silver FOC (Flash On Clash). I really like the Sun Rider color. It’s just a nice mix of blue and green making a teal color. I got it with Obsidian Sound of course. The AV switch I got is non-illuminated because I was thinking of trying different colors on the hilt, and I thought that none of the illuminated AVs really matched Sun Rider.
-How it handles both one and two handed
Like I said this was made for two handed and still works great in one. The balance point is in a perfect spot for both heavy and mid-grade blades.
-Weight/Length in comparison to another saber
It is my longest hilt but isn’t actually as heavy as you would expect.
-What specific things you would change or enhance
I would no change anything about this hilt. It is perfect and I actually like it without a covertec for more grip in different places.
-Possible customization ideas you have if any
I ended up changing the emitter and pommel. I wanted a saber with the original vented coupler as a vented chamber. I did this with an Archon V2 emitter and changing the neck for the black and silver vented coupler. For the pommel I got the Dark War Glaive Pommel 2 which matches the Silver and Black vents perfectly, even better than the ordinal Dark War Glaive Pommel. I also wanted a longer blade for dueling and control and went with a 40”.
-Overall thoughts of the saber
Overall the Dark Arbiter gives great control when dueling, for both one and two handed battle. It is my favourite two handed saber, and I may get one without sound as a dueling and spinning saber for all out fights. This is one saber that is perfect for the weight of a heavy grade blade. Overall a great saber for anyone!
