Hello there.
I'm from France and obviously a big fan of Star Wars. Not just the movies, but the entire extended universe from the Old Republic to the New Order.
I purchased a complete Jedi costume last week (tunic, robe, belt, boots) and was thinking "I need a saber now. But not the ones from the movies that already belongs to other masters. I have to follow the tradition and build my own."
So here I am. ^^

Welcome to the forums. I have a great video tutorial if you are interested in building your own. US does have great options though that allows you to customize a saber into something very unique.

Welcome to the forums! If you ever hear of any saber enthusiast groups that perform lightsaber choreography, or practice sparring with sabers, or anything else - please let me know. All I know about is the local 501st and Rebel Legion costuming groups, and I've been asked about France-based groups before. Haven't heard of anything else yet so I've been directing people to Germany or Spain for holiday, or recommending they start their own group.  |

Bienvenue, noudwi.
My French is too rusty to manage much more than that... but welcome, nevertheless.
Building (or buying, at least) your own lightsabre is a rite of passage we fully support. And with the range of options you can get on some of the 'sabres available here, you can easily end up with a something nearly as unique as if you built it yourself. Everyone's always happy to weigh in with options and opinions.
If you do want to build your own at some point, there's plenty of builders here too, so you can be sure to get plenty of help there too.
