Hey guys
I got my ultrasabers more than a month ago and I now felt the need to do a review. I know a lot of you guys have done this, but it is nice to be able to compare experiences.

My review is based on the Liberator V3 and I own two of these sabers. My review is put into different sections and I will rate each section and give an overall rating, I will be using the numbers 1-5, 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest.
Blade:
We(a friend and I) chose to order the UE Heavy Grade blades, since we really wanted to use these sabers for their primary purpose heavy duelling. The foil in the blades does crumple quite a bit which did dim the light through the blades. This happened to all our blades. But after removing the foil the light looks really good. The blades do get quite scratched from duelling, but I did not expect anything ells and I do not see this as a problem since you cannot see the scratches when the light is on.
I am very impressed with the durability of these blades, they are flexible and still very strong when we duel we strike with full force!
Rating: Heavy Grade:
5(BIG TIME), UltraEdge:
2(If the blade is bought for display, UE does look quite good but not for heavy duelling.)
Hilt:Aesthetics The hilt is very beautiful and does look very elegant to the writer, I find the few but great details very nice and gives the hilt a very stylish look. The windowed emitter is the icing on the cake it looks great, especially on the standard model, because the bare aluminum reflects the light very nicely.
Rating: 5Comfort I have tried 7-8 different ultrasabers, and I have to say that this is by far my favorite, it is very comfortable and the lack of knick knacks provides you with a very comfortable grip. If you, like me are a big guy with paws, then this hilt will be very nice for both one handed combat as well as single handed.
Rating: 5Durability I have found these hilts to be very easy to break, unlike the testimonies from most of the users on this forum: But due to the material being aluminum which is a very soft metal they do bend and dent quite heavily from a drop. I for one like battle damage on my hilt and do not really care about this, but I have learned that the pommel and the threading on this suffers quite a bit it tends to luck up, so you cannot screw the pommel back on/off. Furthermore the retention screw and the pommel have a tendency to rattle lose during dueling, a bit annoying, but not a dealbreaker.
Rating: 2.5Electronics So far I have nothing to say about the main electronics, I have experienced that the sabers sometimes die from a drop, but this is due to the batteries rattling lose. This is the only negative thing about the electronics, it would be nice if the battery pack had a more snug fit in the hilt, and both of my battery packs have cracked due to this otherwise quite good, the LED is very bright and looks really good.
Rating: 3.5 Overall rating: 3 This review is based on my experiences with my sabers and what I have found to be positive and negative. I hope that other potential buyers find this helpful. I am aware that other people might disagree with me at some points, but we all use our sabers in different ways and have different opinions, which makes for a great point of comparison.
Cheers.
