Sooooo im thinkin that my next saber is going to be a Prophecy Staff with Aluminum finish, Heavy Grade Blades, and Guardian Blue and Consular Green. However, beforehand I want to get someone who's delt with this staff's opinion on it. Do you recommend it? Let me know

I don't have the Prophecy staff myself but I've heard good things about it. Plus, saber staves are just plain awesome.
Actually if I were going to get a staff I might shy away from the Prophecy one since i prefer the staff hilt to have a more simple grip without too much crap on it, but that's just me. The blue and green will probably look awesome together btw, if you get it post a review for sure!

I haven't handled a prophecy, but I do have a Blue/Green staff, and it looks AMAZING. You can't quite blur the two together, like some people do with single color staffs, but I don't really mind. I've found my opponents to hesitate a little when I light up the multicolor staff, just because it's so unorthodox. Plus, it makes for better duel-wielding IMO than two same-colored sabers.

Hm, good idea. But, I think the Prophecy isnt the best choice for a staff. Now, this is all just my opinion though, so, do whatever you feel. When I first saw the Prophecy, I was pretty much turned off to it. I didnt like who it resembled the Anakin/Luke saber. That is jsut personal choice though. I dont like the sabers because there is too much in the way and it is just an ackward saber to use. BUT. When I actually got to see and handle the Prophecy, I was happily proven wrong to its overall greatness. It is truly a great looking saber and it handles a lot better than the Anakin/Luke ones. Doesnt have much stuff in the way and it has a great feel to it. It was a lot shorter than I thought it would be though, well, at least compared to those sabers and other saber like the SI or Liberator. This isnt a bad thing though. I think the Prophecy makes an excellent hand and a half saber. But, mostly a single handed saber. So stick a shorter blade than a 36in one on there and I think you have one heck of a saber there. As a staff though, not sure how that would work. The hilt is shorter than others, which doesnt sound like much, but in order to use a staff the best way, in my own opinion, I think you need a good length and enough room in the middle of the staff in order to manuvere it the best way. The Prophecy has some interesting grip in the middle, which makes it good for your less dominant hand when using two hands, but makes it a bit awkward for a staff user, I would think, especially with the little covertec wheel on there. You could always remove it though. But, again, this is just my observation. I dont know how you use a staff so I dont know if the middle of the staff will give you any trouble, but just putting it out there. Dont think the Prophecy isnt a good saber though! It is light weight and real nice to handle. Just not sure how it would fair as a staff. Especially if you use a lot of spins and hand switches.

I've looked at it, but I can't imagine the prophecy staff is a very good handling staff. I could be wrong, but the non-uniform shape of it seems like it just wouldn't move right.

I usually promote the Phantom/Phantasm or SI as a staff, just because they are so smooth. Pretty much anything that you think you could handle well is a good hilt design. Even the liberator is a good choice. Though personally I do not like the position of the choke points. Just keep in mind whenever you are considering a hilt: where your hands are going to be, how much room do you need to have in order to use it, is there anything that is going to get in the way of your hands, and really the overall length of the hilts and blades. For example, the Phantom is good for a staff, though a Phantom initiate wouldnt be so much of a good choice if you have a wide grip due to the smaller amount of hand space in the middle of the saber.

i like the choke points on my liberators there position allows for speed and power because of how high up they are and i can easily reposition my hands for spinning

Im an emitter grabber, so the choke points just kind of throw me off. When I saw the War Glaive, I thought that was just perfect for me since they were right around where I have my hand positioned. Too bad I couldnt afford the price tag, eh. My friend has a Liberator staff, and I think it is neat, just not for me. I usually have my hand pretty high up above the activation switch and my other hand pretty much at the bottom of the hilt, so the choke point doesnt really do anything for me.

Im loving everyones input! The way i usually grip sabers is by the choke near the emitter. Thats part of the reason why i chose a dominix over SI. Also, I normally thought the Prophecy looked too similar to Anakins saber, but I wanted my next purchase to be a staff and I really wanted a saber where the Hilt looked like it came directly out of Star Wars (not that they all dont, but to people not familiar with US or the whole saber Ideal, the Dominix kinda looks like a flashlight to them XD). After watching the Prophecy video again, I realized how awesome they really look. They have a legitamite SW look, they have a covertec wheel, and they have slanted emitters (i dig the slanted emitters ). and when i play TFU 2, I had blue and green sabers

Dont forget about the awesome world of customizations. If you dont like a part or want something on your saber, you can always make it yourself. This is a great place to get ideas and input on things like that. So whatever you choose, you can always take it the step further and make it more of YOUR saber.

I HIGHLY recommend the Prophecy staff. Lately I've been using mine as a staff more and more (usually a dual wielder) and I love it. The choke points give me an idea of where my hand is on the saber when spinning fast, and the one by the emitter is right where I grab anyway (single, dual, or staff). The grips on the lower half work well for spins that you have your hands in tight on.
You definitely will want to remove the covertechs when using them as a staff, and the Glaive claws I put on mine aren't friendly to the staff combo (not bad, but they are a little obtrusive). It is a light, quick staff though and although the chokes look intricate, it is still really just a cylinder. It's not like you're going to get hung up on the smaller parts.
Also, if you want a little more legth and some added terrain in the middle, you could always get the vented coupler and add a couple inches to the center - it's compatible and you can go dark or light finish!
I love it and you get the best dual wield setup (short hilts with a grippy choke) to boot!

I've never used a Prophecy staff..... but my first saber was a Prophecy CE. It's still my favorite saber, and I highly recommend it. If you ever decide to pop your staff apart and dual wield, or you need to let someone else use half of it so you can duel, you will find that it is probably one of the most versatile hilts out there. It's really a hand and a half saber, and it's got a pretty good balance. Whatever your style is, it will work. My only suggestion is that you ditch the covertech clip and wheel for a set from krussel, they're smaller, look better, and they don't bite into your hand at all.
