Agreed...the video is a great take on a classic fantasy issue...

On topic, the two pieces of Jedi fashion...the only way to develop pieces that make sense, would be wearable, flow for the eye, etc. is to immerse yourself in the subject.
Read up on pattern design, follow existing designs for inspiration, and a classic art school exercise is to take fashion magazines and cut the pictures of the pieces you like out...fit them together in a Frankenstein-ish puzzle format, use this to create a template for your drawing efforts.
I liked them both for a basic Star Wars sexy athletic wear sort of aspect...the first has a eye drawing issue around the vital lower region that having experience from making patterns and clothes I know would become a hassle to wear because of weight and movement...pinching, folding, and sagging...which is never fun or pretty.
The second is a cleaner design and could be tweaked into a fun bit of cheesecake.
On a side note, there was an extensive conversation here on the forum a while back regarding the paradox of the chainmail bikini and related cake of cheese.
I am a guy who appreciates a female form...as such a chainmail bikini is fun to look at just as a cloth bikini is fun to look at as it shows off the aforementioned female form of appreciation...but no one thinks a girl, woman, lady, or guy dressed as one (please never) should wear noted chainmail bikini into battle...unless said battle is a harem pillow fight, and then I at least approve...not that I would watch...I am just saying in general as a point of context that this would be an appropriate setting for such an outfit...just saying. Also saying that the idea of the same pillow fight with a bunch of buff guys in banana hammocks gives me significant pause and a bit of acid reflux, which I do not normally have.
And thus is the issue...why is cheesecake acceptable and in many cases preferred...if the subject is female AND of a certain body shape...and yet is considered a parody if the subject is not the perfect fit or gender (shudder)?
Because at heart we are a bunch of giggling teenage boys lol.
Boobies!
Sigh

The two designs have merit my friend. Keep sketching. Grab a couple fashion magazines and find inspiration from garments that fit and flow. Then get a basic model sewing machine, $99 at Mal-Wart, some fabric and start sewing!
That is how I got started...don't stop now.
Once you start making the clothes you will find the truth to the matter, tiny bits of clothing resist the desired flow and movement that most people find appealing.
Nice effort.
