I'm proud to present my SS ed. RGB Raven review! This saber is just
Magnificent! As in my other review, I'm not rating anything; just giving my opinion.
Hilt: This hilt is superior craftsmanship combined with artistic beauty! It is
VERY solid and sturdy, even the claws. The machining and anodizing are well done. The rings above the pommel are raised ridges rather than grooves. The SS ed. claws look really nice and have no sharp edges or points. The SS ed. pommel also looks really nice and offsets the other horizontal lines very well. The emitter (or blade holder) on this saber is different from most other sabers, because it doesn't screw into the body. It sits in the slotted top of the body and is held in with two set screws. Fear not though, the emitter is held very securely! As is the blade, with two set screws in the emitter holding it. Also, US was able to fit all four buttons for the RGB on the regular body. Three switches are for the Red/Green/Blue LEDs and the fourth button (the Master Switch) controls power to these three switches. So, if you had the Red & Green LEDs on (making Yellow), you could turn it off that way with the Master Switch and have Yellow when you turned it back on! Below are some pics, the first of which shows the emitter removed with the blade still secured in it.

Here's a couple of comparison shots between the Raven and my Dark Shock. The second pic is a good comparison between an UltraEdge blade (the Dark Shock) and a standard blade (the Raven). Please note the UltraEdge is a Midgrade and the standard is a Heavygrade. Both are Red.

Now, after having said that.....this hilt is fairly "beefy". Meaning it's a little thicker and longer than most hilts. It doesn't bother me, in fact I like this because now I have a "Greatsaber"! Someone with small hands or a small grip though, could have difficulty wielding this saber.
Blade & Color: I got a standard Heavygrade blade with this. When I first got it, I didn't think I was going to like it. After a while though, I really began to notice how nice the colors look with this blade. Their real sharp and clear, whereas the UltraEdge gives the colors a more pastel look. Don't get me wrong....I love the UltraEdge because it has a thicker-looking blade, but the colors come out better in the standard. And
WOW do the colors look great!! The regular Red, Green, & Blue all look great! The mixed colors are especially nice! The Red/Blue mix to make a wonderful Violet Amethyst (swear it looks just like Mace's blade!) The Green/Blue is a very nice light blue (Arctic Blue I would say). And the Red/Green make my favorite mix.....a SPECTACULAR Yellow!! I don't mean a golden Yellow or an orangish-Yellow, but a nice pure Yellow!! I think it looks amazing on the Raven!!!! The Silver from mixing all three looks good as well. I found that on low batteries the Yellow turns orange and the Arctic Blue turns to SRD. I'm using rechargeable NiMH batteries (800 mAh, 1.2V). Here's pics of all seven colors: Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Violet, Arctic Blue, and Silver

Well, I hope everyone enjoyed my review!! If anyone has any questions let me know

Once again, a BIG thanks to UltraSabers for another AWESOME saber!!!!!
