I'm looking over the pictures but as I've only held one of these sabers once and it didn't have a wheel I was wondering what the best place on the saber for the wheel would be. I don't want it in the way when i'm holding it. I'll be ordering my first saber today so I've been asking a lot of questions. Once I get my first one I think i'll have a better idea of what they have to offer but until then I hope i'm not flaming the boards.

I like covertecs just above the pommel.  They stay out of the way.

i personally enjoy having mine closer to the emitter, i also have it so I pull it off my belt in a reverse grip and bring it around into a standard grip
As you can see, mine is above the the activation button, and it also works well to keep my hand from sliding to far forward

Either of the above, for me.

I wouldn't want one too near the middle - my solitary gripe with the Bellicose is that the covertec wheel as standard is a little high on the hilt. Not majorly, but if I was left handed (or held it with the activation switch facing outwards) it would get in the way of my grip.

Although, I suppose with one right in the middle you could clip it to your belt and spin it like a propeller...

My mind goes to strange places sometimes.

I agree with Deadcow that close to the pommel is a great place. However, I recently held a saber with the covertec a bit more towards center (like the Bellicose) and I did not think it was that bad to hold, if your hands are situated the right way. It was not as bad as I thought. I found that if the covertec falls right in the palm of my hand, it is not as uncomfortable as it looks. This would make a difference if you were ordering a saber with the covertec already on it and your right vs left handedness did not allow for it sit in the palm of your hand.

Another option is to install it yourself. You can order the covertec part and just drill and tap the hole where you want (or have sommone who knows how to do it,do it for you). Once you have the saber in hand it is easier to get a fee for the best place. Happy shopping.

i like mine on the bottom end of the hilt opposite side of the power button for my intitiates so when i duel wield they aint in the way.Plus i clip one on each side of my belts so light up power button is facing towars people at my sides.  Or when i two handed one saber the wheel is between my pinky and ring finger so its not uncomfy at all
