Purple Power!

Just got in my Dark Monarch (AS). Used Roscolux filters to get the violet blade. First pic looks a little blue but second one with lights off shows more purple. In person it is very bright purple.

You made me nearly fall out of my chair!  I clicked on the purple thread to see what was new and the first thing I see is a giant picture of a Dark Monarch staring right at me!  You have never heard such screaming.  Seriously, I backed up from the screen so fast the chair nearly turned over. 

There needs to be warning tags for Monarch pics.

Hey Rich, that's a nice purple.  Which Rosco did you use?  I've looked at them and they all seem to have a really low transparency so I was afraid to even try them with my AS Liberator.  Figured they'd be really dim.

@Ziran. Try Jazz Purple. to me that's almost a true purple. Love the shade.

From the Rosco filter book I used 30 Magenta (#4730). It's a lighter shade but shows up a nice bright purple with the AS ignited.

Haha!  I never thought of it until you mentioned it.  I think that richmbailey either didn't catch that, or didn't dignify it with a response.

I tried out the Purple Jazz #348.  The color doesn't look great with an UE blade but may look better with standard mid grade.  It's also pretty dim since my Liberator is a stunt setup.  I'm thinking that AS with filters definitely looks better if you have a higher wattage LED running.

Sorry, I read the comment about the Monarch. I did change my pommel on it, so it looks less "dildo-ish"
