I can honestly say, I loved the Day of the Doctor. It was well worth the wait.

Doctor Who plays in all dimensions, for all of time.  Smiley
It was sort of an inside joke.  Before the show started, the 11th doctor showed up on screen and welcomed everyone to the 100th anniversary special playing in 12D.  He was then informed by Clara that it was only the 50th and it was in 3D.  The Doctor replied "Aw, 3D? What's good about that?"

My parents bought me the first series of New Who for my birthday, and I can't wait to watch it! I'm saving it for winter break.

Hehe...

I watched a documentary on the 9th Doctor, as well as two random episodes (one of which came with the documentary), and I ended up getting hooked. Thanks again, Ben Wink

I've been watching Who since I was either three or four, I honestly don't remember who my first Doctor was.  It was either the great John Pertwee or the amazing Tom Baker! Smiley

I remember watching Dr Who when I was quite young because of the intro music and epileptic color shows...Smiley...but which was the first, I do not remember...always playing on PBS out of sequence...but they were black and white  Smiley

In 1972 I was 6-7 so I imagine it was a year or two or three after that, I am with Prowl, John Pertwee and Tom Baker both get the first place due shuffling and me being a wired little kid.

Younger people who only watch the new series don't know the awesome Doctors they are missing.  There were some amazing episode in the classic series, a few even written by Douglas Adams, "City of Death" is really good one!

I'm looking forward to picking up the newly recovered episodes "Enemy of the World" and "Web of Fear" with the Second Doctor (Patrick Troughton).

I've seen a few of the old series, such as the Caves of Androzani, the Aztecs, the Mind Robber...

Caves of Androzan is possibly my favorite story of the Fifth Doctor.

Did anyone pick up that the Doctor was on Trenzalore before he was told the name of the planet? And I don't mean because we knew going into the ep that Matt was bowing out (hence Trenzalore), but because of the truth field and Dorium's quote at the end of the Wedding of River Song which included; 'On the fields of Trenzalore, at the fall of the Eleventh, when no living creature may speak falsely or fail to give answer, a question will be asked...'

I was disappointed with last night's episode.  It is great in some places and a disappointment in others.
