After years of collecting sabers and a lifetime of watching Star Wars, my wife started to express interest. I needed to strike while the iron was hot. I wanted to make a saber for her so I started to research female Jedi and their sabers. I decided to take some inspiration from this lovely lady and her hilt…   I like the look of Jaina’s saber. It has a bit of Luke’s saber. It is rugged looking but also sort of slender and feminine. I then set out to create my wife’s saber and came up with this…     It is not a perfect recreation of Jaina’s (Ultra Sabers does not make the parts for an exact replica) but it is inspired by Jaina’s. Here is the parts list… Consular emitter Shock body Archon pommel TCSS .75” M/F extension TCSS guarded switch with red button Bane’s Heart MLS 1000mA Buck Puck 4 AA battery pack I polished the body and extension. I made one of my famous leather wraps and dyed it burgundy (which did not photograph well). I am happy with it and she loves it. Hope you enjoy the pictures. |

You could check out the "other guys". They have some MHS parts that would help make it a bit more accurate.

You could check out the "other guys". They have some MHS parts that would help make it a bit more accurate.
They used to have an emitter that would be nearly perfect, but they do not sell it anymore. This was never supposed to be accurate, just inspired by.  Jaina deserves her individuality.  |

The one I am talking about is the old "style 15" which they stopped selling earlier this year. It was much more streamline than the current model, which I think is kind of top heavy looking. But enough about "the other guys." I only put the picture of Jaina because that is where the inspiration came from. I never wanted to re-create Jaina's saber (I guess I worded it wrong in my original post, that is my fault for typing faster than I can think.). I just liked the general profile of it. I also included the picture of Jaina because.....well, just look at it! It is a very nice picture.  My wife is happy with her saber and that is what counts. A happy wife = a happy husband.  Thanks to all for the kind words. |

It's not only a nice picture, but it's a very nice statue too. Yeah, I have seen that statue in magazines. It is very nice but would be impossible to justify buying. The sabers are hard enough to justify but I get away with, "I work hard and they make me happy." If I use that line for the statue...it might get me in a lot of hot water!!! |

I chose Bane's Heart because it is sort of pink-ish and suits her well. I really do not see it as a Sith color, despite the name. It is a stunt set up. All of my sabers are just stunts. Someday I will venture into the land of sound set ups. But for now, I am happy just to looks at them and not hear them. Thanks. |
