Here are a couple of pics of the saber I am building.  Still needs paint and a few holes drilled, and then insert the electronics I built a few days ago.  Damn this was much harder than I thought it would be and I made more mistakes than I thought I would drilling and tapping, no fun.

The body is a Libby v3, Emory was nice nice enough to let me order "off the menu" and sold me 2 Libby v3 bodies.

I like the Templar accents you added but is the cross meant to be upside down? Not religious so I'm not offended, just want to make sure that's how you intended it to be.

Very nice so far. Just out of curiosity what LED color is it going to be?

Interesting. Very unique. I never really saw the Liberator as a saber you could do much custom work to, but you proved me wrong.

Where are you going to put the switch? I see you have two "switch boxes" on it. Are they just for decoration and you are planning on using the normal switch hole? Or did you plug the hole some how and plan to drill out one of the boxes?

I like the Templar stuff, too. That is an angle I never really considered with sabers, but now it is so obvious to me.

Nice work, keep us posted.

The crosses are supposed be upside down, but it does not make sense as it is right now.  At the bottom of the saber is going to be the seal of Baphomet.  Baphoment is the demon the Church accused the Templars of worshipping when they burned them at the stake.  So this is the saber of a dark Templar who escaped the purge and now worships the demon because god has forsaken him and allowed the Church to kill his fellow Templars.  Because of this the blade color will be red. (Long back story I know)

After further consideration the switch box in the middle is coming off and being replaced with a bezel and a red av latching switch.  The activation box at the bottom is going to be moved down an inch and under the card on this box will be a blinking red led, so it will look like the activation box at the bottom is blinking red.  The top and bottom will be painted white and the middle, emitter, and pommel left silver with Graflex style grips in the middle. So about another two weekends of work, plus still wanting for few parts.  I think I found my new hobby, this is fun. Grin

One fun thing is learning how to do things the right way, and how to conceal mistakes when you make them.  There are a few "extra" holes drilled and and tapped on this saber but I found ways to cover the mistakes so far. Grin

The first custom saber build is always the most expensive, but also an incredible learning experience.  I have  sourced parts for this thing from everywhere from Ultra Sabers, TCSS, Radio Shack to the Church of Satan.   Grin
