Hello everyone. I recently received my 2nd ultrasabers saber, a guardian blue aeon and this thing is amazing, however i have a few questions about it and was wondering if anyone had any input. first off I would just like to make it clear that I absolutely love this saber and this is not a gripe thread, however, the guardian blue seems fairly dull, I'm wondering if this is a power issue, i.e. if I switch it to a 9v battery or something with a higher output would this increase the brightness? I'm also planning on putting a MR maul board in it, and i hear that MR boards generally run about 1250mah to the led,(I do understand this is over driving it) so I'm assuming this would also increase the brightness. my other ultrasaber was an old pvc initiate with a green lux 3 from a long time ago, and obviously green is going to be brighter just due to the fact that its green lol. but i just feel like the guardian blue didn't have the same 'wow' factor.  i also ordered it with the ultraedge mid grade blade. basically I'm just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences with this color or if I was just expecting to much =). my knowledge of saber mechanics is fairly limited, but I have been reading and learning a lot so thanks for any input/help.

Did you change the batteries? That's usually why the color is dull, because the batteries are dying.

yeah, I bought a set of rechargeable aaa's for it. on a full charge it does make it slightly brighter, but still not as bright as I thought it would be, I figure it could also be the ultraedge blade, don't get me wrong,  it works exactly as advertised, I just think that the core effect really makes a saber stand out and look brighter, and with this blade, at least in blue, it doesn't really give the core effect. . I have the parts I need to run a mr fx maul board on the way from tcss as well as the parts to make a blade, going the DIY route with cellophane as it seems to give great results, and I generally just like the whole DIY idea, so we'll see how much of a difference it makes.
