The Guardian (Nickel Plated)
Arctic Blue LED
White FOC
Red AV Switch
Obsidian

First impression upon opening the package was just wow. The nickel plating was beautiful even the pommel was plated as well, It's heavy and huge but not in a bad way, it gives more of that high-end premium look. The weight, size and balance was just perfect for me it feels like a real weapon, I just can't stop swinging this beauty w/o the blade.

As for the arctic blue led I did not like the look of this with the blade. I tried it with ultra edge and mid grade but it just doesn't work for me it just looks so fluorescent-ish but when replaced with a blade plug it's stunning, so it might stay that way for now.

Comparing to Graflex and Manticore the Guardian was just in a different level. But don't get me wrong I love them all, there something special on each of them that I like but on the con side my Graflex got this play on blade holder and the rattles inside my Manticore. The design on the Guardian was just solid in and out.

If I have to rate this it would be 10/10 can't find any cons with this saber. I think the Guardian will be the king in my growing saber collection for quite some time, it will be hard to beat…that's how good it is. So yeah it's perfect!

I'm not sure but I have to get a manticore and apparently now a guardian as well.

Such a nice saber. First time seeing the Guardian in Nicole plating. I would've done GB myself though to match the name of the saber. If its not too late you could always send the saber back in to have GB be put on unless you got QD on this saber. GB looks amazing on Ultra Edge too.

That is beautiful!  And very cool that they would nickel plate the pommel too.  I'll have to add a nickel Guardian to my wishlist.  Don't worry about not getting it in GB, do whatever makes you happy.  I would probably go with something different too.

I love the pic with the blade plug, it looks awesome that way.

Just got home and just finished playing with it again hehe, i really love it!

With regards to the arctic led, its not really that bad its just a personal preference some people may like it. Also got no plans on changing it, looks great with the plug very bright and its still blue...my baby blue  Grin

By the way i didnt get this with the recharge port because im not sure where it will be applied...i dontlike how it was done on my graflex, it was drilled in the middle of the hilt with just a standard nut, its an eyesore to its beautiful shiny hilt.

Now i want a saber to go with phyrestone orange and the dark purple. Originally planning a bellicose for the po but its out of stock so was leaning now to consular. For the purple a dark liberator maybe or go with archon with emerald driver. Oh my this is making me crazy, someone stop me pls!  Grin

Thank you for posting the photos, I have been wanting to see a Nickel Guardian ever since I found out it was an option.  Sadly after winning my 2nd Guardian in the raffle, I'm afraid I'll never own a Nickel version.

You could sell one of yours and put the money towards a nickel version.

Nice review and great pics!  It's my first time seeing the nickel plated guardian.  It's a little too large for me but it does look fantastic!

Wow, that looks amazing.

I've never really been bothered by the nickel plating option, but I think I'd make an exception here. Great photos, too!

That line up...nothing short of AMAZING to the fact that all those hilts and with the guardian nickle finish, this is not when a padawan is granted their light saber...this is a choice of Masters who have proven themselves.  Cheesy

Well I've scratched the Manticore itch but I am tapped out on cash for a little while, atleast until tax return time so the Guardian will have to wait...picked up a 2 channel emerald (RB) manticore and I love it! The rattle is more than likely the set screw against the blade.  I've got a custom 2 inch neck I'm adding which will have a second set screw, I'm willing to bet that 2 set screws and the blade going deeper into the hilt will eliminate all rattling within the hilt also heavy guage blade for added stilffness.

Norvinus, it isn't easy to tell from the photos, but that gold decorative switch on the emitter - is it large enough to allow a recharge plug to be inserted if a recharge port was hidden inside it?

I love having recharge ports on my sabers, and I'm just wondering if that decorative button (or something like it) could be used to avoid spoiling the look of the saber and still let me have a recharge port.

Hi Brian, it will be impossible to place the recharge port on that part because it was just above the main led and will be in the blade holder area. I guess your only option there will be somewhere in the middle to lower part of the body. i have not seen where they normally put recharge port on the guardian but personally i would not recommend it, not for this hilt.
