Graflex CE (Emerald) Review (Video/Pics)

Hello Saberforum

Well I'm excited! I latest purchased saber from Ultrasaber is the Graflex CE Emerald. My thoughts on the saber is absolutely 100% satisfied, build quality and finish is excellent! The chrome finish on the hilt is awesome very shiny and clean. But I'v been holding the hilt many times and the it attracts a lot of finger prints lol but it was easy to clean off. Holding the hilt was very comfortable there were no sharp edges also quite easy to twirl. My first experience with the emerald driver and it software was easy to use and oh my gosh so many possibilities with color combinations and pulse and FoC its endless!! I think the Emerald drive makes a saber feel and look more alive when in play, it so awesome ^_^!!

Would I recommend it to anyone else? Yes I would recommend Ultrasaber with Emerald driver.

Once again, you have a beautiful saber! I love the options you have, the purple pulse and the yellow flash. Point!

What switch option do you have and how exactly does it work?

I gone with the AV switch channel, Direct Drive Always On option, AV switch is Yellow. The AV switch will always be on When the batteries are loaded in the saber. Turning it on is same as any saber and lock up feature.

I think I found a good Emerald configuration.

Pulse Color Timings: 0.1 - 0.1 - 0.1 - 0.1

Flash On Clash: 3 Time @ 0.1 - 0.1

What is the shortest amount of time you can set the pulse configuration? As in, achieve a "flicker" effect with the idle pulse, rather than a slow blend from one to the other and back again.

My color setting was:

Base Color: LED3 225 (Gaurdian Blue)
Second Color: LED2 225 LED3 225 (Arctic Blue-ish) green and blue fully mixed.

To achieve flicker effect on the Emerald Driver, What I found playing around with the settings is:

0s - 0.1s - 0s - 0.1s

Don't put any seconds on the blending fields.

Also The Main color you choose and the Second color should be at 75%.

Example I configured Green Color Saber so my LED2 was at 225 max and the Secondary LED2 was at around 150 to 170.

The result was it was flickering awesome Green. I'll make video of it soon but I don't know it my camera will pick of the flickering/shimmering well on camera since it flickers pretty fast.
