Thinking of a modern costume for Jedi also forces us to look at the dichotomy in what the Jedi are. On one hand, they're a monastic order dedicated to introspection and self-improvement. On the other, they're the galactic version of Interpol. It's weird.

True we must be in the mindset of what it is we are creating.

I will be using a longjohn shirt I bought the other night, my black pants and belt and eventually boots. I'll be having the shirt under the belt. Hope that gives some ideas. I got the shirt at wal mart. Look for the no boundaries brand. They usually have some good designs if you go in early enough. So I basically got my costume figured out. If non of the die hard don't like it then tough is all I can say. Your costume is yours not theirs.
