standard issue (dark) coupler problem

Hi guys, what type of thread is used on your dark standard issue coupler? male or female?,  coulpe of warnings as well, the coupler thread is very sharp so be careful letting kids screw/unscrew the staff, also the coupler screws in very tight, i had to use a vice to get mine out of the hilt,there is no hole drilled through the coupler like some of the others have (eg prophecy coupler.)(alas when i used the vice i squashed the thread a bit and now it wont screw in to the hilt any suggestions on how to fix this, Iwould just buy another one from you but the ups shipping to england is far to expensive for an item that costs under $10 (maybe you could use a more inexpensive postal service for small parts and bits? the coupler is male, and unfortunately your best bet is to buy a new coupler. i'm not sure if there is a tool you can purchase to straighten out the threads a onyour coupler but that might cost more than the coupler with the shipping. maybe you can go to your local car repair shop and see if they can fix it for you, they seem to have all sorts of tools for any type of repair.

If there's a competent machine shop in your area, they may well have the tools to recut the thread for you.

thanks for the reply guys, reason i was asking is the custom saber shops shipping is way cheaper than ultrasabers ups, also there is an english sabersmith called jq sabers who may be able to supply me with a coupler, however i am contemplating buying a war glaive so i may just order another coupler and combine the shipping, cheers Kalibos
