Tactical Jedi Costume Coming Monday

So I threw together a tactical Jedi costume idea. Its what I think someone on the field for a long time would wear. I know most of you guys don't like front zippers but I want to use a grey vest my grandpa gave me. I'll post pictures here so I don't flood the thread. I think you guys will like my costume idea. Even got a coat I can use that my grandpa also gave me. Still no proper boots yet but I at least got a leather buckle belt.

I've got a friend in the US who has agreed to make up a Luke (RoTJ-style) costume for me. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

For those of you that go to conventions, can I ask if you tend to just use a blade plug and clip your saber to your belt, or do you leave the blades in and just carry them around?

I've been wondering if it is worth getting one of the shorter Initiate blades so that I can clip an assembled saber to my belt (even if it is shorter).

Suggestions anyone?

I never get the chance to go to any cons so yeah. I wouldn't know. I'd probably just carry mine around in case anyone wanted to do any pictures. I think you guys will like my costume idea.

So here are some pictures of my costume idea. The jacket my grandpa gave to me, bought everything else at either wal mart or target. Thought the shirt looked kind of Star Wars-ish, or EU at least. I don't have proper boots to show yet but this is at least a start. So I hope you guys like my costume so far. Thanks to Master Kane for the idea. And I'mn back online regularly so yeah. =]

Never could understand that baseball grip people use on their sabers, other than that great look. Cant wait to let my blade taste your flesh on the battlefield.

Look up some Anakin wallpapers. He does that pose a lot like when he's on the Dark Side. Rabbit Tooth has some great ones.

1) Nice Evil Ani shot on that last one. Actually makes a fair lookalike for him. I think it's the penetrating stare into your soul thing. lol

2) This is actually one of the nicer modern / economy jedi costumes I've seen! The belt is great, very OT. Simple, but spacey. The shirt is a nice cut. Whole thing looks very much generic and common citizen, as a Jedi should IMHO, and has the right qualities that you could wear it down the street or right through a fanfilm without any particular 'standing out like a sore thumb' vibes either way. You could walk down the streets of Coruscant and fit right in, then pull out the saber and still look right. Only thing that's not really my taste is the jacket, but costumes with a family connection get major props.

That was my whole idea really. =] Thanks. I just thought the jacket had that perfect tactical type look to it. Like extra pouches and such. At least the zipper is hidden by buttons this time.
