I ordered these back in September of last year.  The Jedi V2 was part of a run, the 3rd wave to be more exact, and the Sith Holocron was still available from its last run a few months ago.

I'm very happy in acquiring JYN's latest Jedi Holocron design not only because I believe it is a vast improvement over the first design, but also because it incorporates something dear to my native country (and that is all I will say on that matter Wink ). This clearly is one of the great highlights of last years acquisition of anything SW related.

I originally intended to only get the Jedi version but upon seeing what Jedi and Sith holocron had to offer, I simply could not pass the latter over.  Adding to my anticipation was Darth Ryō's review of each holocron, and further more, upon stumbling on one of JYN's hirees' hilarious and entertaining Youtube video voice-over of Darth Sidious, I knew I was in for a real treat!  Here it is for your viewing pleasure:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnZlkFMLncc" target="_blank" class="aeva_link bbc_link new_win">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnZlkFMLncc</a>

Which brings me to what I feel is the main highlight of the massive audio compilations JYN has gathered and edited together --- the voices of past Jedi and Sith Masters and their words of instruction and wisdom to their fellow students. I've only listened to a few but there are so much to hear and digest that it literally has to be listened to, to truly appreciate the scope and the vastness of Jedi and Sith lore and learning, the audio books --- not to mention the hours put in from those involved in this great undertaking. And should one wish to take a break from listening to the Masters, a great number of SW themed soundtracks are also readily available for your hearing pleasure.

I gotta thank Ray for this third Wave run of the updated design of the Jedi holocron and for the Sith Holocron.  I heartily recommend these for those who've yet to acquire some sort of holocron be they of the Jedi or Sith persuasion --- or both for that matter!

Here's a Video but I did not turn on the audio so it's basically a light show:

As mentioned in the OP, Darth Ryō did 2 review vids for the Jedi and Sith holocron.

You'll note that the Jedi holocron review depicts the V1 Jedi holocron but the audio is the same for both the V1 and V2.

I don't think people know how much goes into voice acting. Well done sir, and what a cool project to contribute to.

Thanks Kane!

The amount of audio JYN compiled for both holocrons is staggering to say the least; he mentioned at least a years worth of work.  We're talking about hours upon hours of SW lore, EU stories, music, in-game stories.  As far as I'm concerned, these 2 holocrons are the ultimate until perhaps it can be updated particularly when the new SW movies come out.  And audio material can be added to the existing audio files.

I highly recommend these to any SW fans be they Jedi or Sith!

Nice. When you did ROTJ parts in the beginning I saw Palpatine threatening Luke and such. Tongue I want a Jedi Holocron in blue. Would be so cool to have.

Those are great and will be such a nice addition next to your sabers or on your desk ^^
I mainly use them when playing SWTOR with just light, or when working (listening to the amazing voice acting in the background makes work so less boring  Grin)!
