Who watches the watchmen?

WWW

I have a saber with a battery pack that won't come out. I have tried tapping it to no avail. I am guessing that one of the batteries might have become dislodged. It seems pretty solidly stuck in there. I would try to poke it out from the other end past the LED but this is a 4 channel Emerald and there is absolutely no play with the LED that I can use to get anything down there. Does anyone have any suggestions because I am at a loss here.

Managed to get enough room to see past the LED and it is sold wires. No way to reach a chopstick or anything past them that I can see. I have a small hole where the covertech screws on to work with and the bottom of the speaker pack but I can't find any way to push or pull the pack out.

Update: I would still appreciate advice for how to deal with this next time, but for the time being, I was able to slip a thin and incredibly long paint brush down past the mass of wires and push it out. For those of you with 4 channel Emeralds, You wouldn't believe how crowded it is in there. That explains why it feels comfortably dense.

It's very snug, isn't it?

I've had some success with holding the blade above the emitter and stabbing down with the hilt towards the ground. The combination of lateral and vertical motions seems to be key here. I might try swinging it in an arc, but I'd be concerned about the battery pack etc. flying out and hitting something that would damage it.

yea I had my holder for my libby get stuck on me when I took the batteries out to charge em up (both my stunt sabers use re-chargable batteries)

I was able to use a small screw driver to help push it out enough for me to get the rest by hand. the chopstick trick works too if it's too snug

Try pounding but not hard on a hard floor. Always seems to help me. Then make sure the batteries are in nice and snug.

My 4 channel emerald is a snug fit also (partly due to the electrical tape wrapped around it) but I can usually get it free with a firm 'jerk'. I do find it's easier with the blade out, for some reason.
I also find that mine doesn't "fly out" in any sense of the word and once it's free I actually have to carefully pull to get the whole lot out far enough to access the USB port on the emerald.
