So I am a little disappointed to say Im disappointed. I received my Dark IV2 in the mail a week ago and was excited. It was amazing until it wouldn't turn on. I assumed the batteries were dead. So I went to change them. It wasnt the batteries. The batt pack was damaged. I hadnt even used it nor even had it 5 minutes and it was broken. I managed to rig it to where it would work. I love the saber non the less. I just hope that this is a one time deal. I look forward to getting another saber. And HOPEFULLY I wont have to fix it as soon as I get it. 3 out of 5 stars.

i would suggest getting up with Emory or the others of the customer service and see what they can do for you. sounds like some wiring didnt quite get soder effienctly. which is an easy fix. give them a chance to make it right. I had an isssue once with a blade i order. they sent the wrong kind. mid grade instead of a heavy - i told them about it. and not only did they replace the blade they allowed me to keep the other just as a sorry for the mistake. just sayin...

It wasnt a solder. The batt pack was crushed a bit. I duct taped it and electric taped it.z zit works fine. Also Im a busy guy (arent we all) and would love to contact customer support but I never have contacted customer support in anything. Ever.

This may not have been the company's doing as much as it may have been UPS/fedex. As long as you are pleased with your saber, now that you made the duct tape fix!  However, I can vouch that the customer service is great; the saber is under the 90 day warranty after purchase and the speed that they get it fixed and back to you is remarkable.

If you can and if its not too difficult you can always unsolder the broken battery pack and put a new one on. Just make sure to use the same type pack, 4 or 2, and same size wire. Probably a 4 battery holder depending on what color you got. Keep updates on this one. =]

If it arrived broken, I'd contact US direct - [email protected] with your order number. They're very good at fixing things, although this does sound like it was damaged in transit as I can't imagine that a broken battery pack would have got past basic quality control. I'm pleased you were able to fix it, though.

Thanks for all the input. I decided to just let it slide. Fed Ex sucks in my area anyways. Looking forward to my next saber! Im getting another Dark IV2 Guardian Blue no sound. Gonna go for the Starkiller style!

This likely happened in shipping. I've seen the way UPS/FeEx/USPS handles packages. Quite frankly, I'm amazed this doesn't happen to everyone.
This movie was sadly not far off.
