Qui Gon Jin is one of my favorite characters, also. He is such a beautiful, meaningful character. I loved reading Cloak of Deception, and when I read Episode I, even though I had seen the movie a million times, I cried as I read when he died... I also love young Obi-Wan, becuase, let's face it, Ewan McGregor is a sexy beast. lol  I also reading the various tales of Obi-Wan and Anakin in the novels that take place in between the various films. I love seeing their relationship... Of course, I love Han Solo. I mean, seriously - What's not to love there? Luminara Unduli, Aayla Secura, Ahsoka Tano (I STILL CRY EVERY SINGLE TIME AT THE END OF THE LAST EPISODE OF SEASON 5), Princess Leia, R2D2, C2PO... Thrawn... Maul... VENTRESS. Gah, so many good ones. |

This pretty much sums it up for me: If it includes the entire universe and not limited to movies or tv shows only, then my choice is Jacen Solo. Still learning more and more about him but the things I like about him thus far are:
1. Willing to give and sacrifice everything for the love of his daughter.
2. Has learned force techniques thought to have died before Order 66.
3. Learned much of what he knew on his own.
4. Traveled places and times that people only wondered about.
5. X-wing pilot.
6. Had a way with animals.
7. Wasn't ashamed to be in love with a one armed woman.
Well said Blue! Jacen Solo for me personally, if nothing else for the fact that he questioned the purpose of the Jedi and underwent such a huge character development arc. Of course there are plenty of cool characters that deserve honorable mention. Luke Skywalker would definitely be next up, the classic hero of the OT and an awesomely powerful and wise Jedi Master in the EU. Yoda is amazing too, a great teacher with a sense of humor. Qui-Gon Jinn, because he's Liam Neeson (do you need another reason?) Kyle Katarn and Kyp Durron, both badasses who are on Luke's Jedi Council later in the post-ROTJ EU. |

Tough call... I really liked Mirta Gev, who is Boba Fett's granddaughter. Total badass and not intimidated at all by Fett who is very cold towards her at first. I wish she was more prominent in the books. I really liked Bardan Jusik, a Jedi during the clone wars. He argued against the morality of using clones, citing it as slavery. Hid among the mandalorians as Gotab. I liked Jaina Solo. Fighter pilot, Jedi, trained by mandalorians and fought alongside Boba Fett. A great female lead character. Master Saba Sabatyne is my favorite non-human character, very interesting and was Leia's master. Jagged Fel is pretty awesome too, another pilot, raised among the Chiss, son of the legendary General Baron Soontir Fel of Saber squadron of the 181st Imperial Fighter Group. Jag Fel has some great character progression, sometimes a great friend and ally and sometimes not, but always trying to do the honorable thing. I also really love reading about Ben Skywalker. I love his storylines, struggling with the dark side and Jacen Solo, accompanying Luke in exile. I love how he always has a snarky comment and they always make me laugh.

For me it's Obi-Wan Kenobi. Specifically in RotS and ANH. Calm, centered, relaxed, and not too shabby with a lightsaber.
