So, being bold and making my first topic on here that isn't an introduction...
I'm still really learning about a lot of Star Wars stuff (even more so now that I've joined this forum!), and I also started playing SWTOR last fall. I noticed in customizing my first character (a Sith Warrior) that there were options for face tattoos/ makeup/ markings of some sort. I haven't played the Jedi side of the game so I don't know if they have the same thing.
I've also noticed some of you out there also have same such markings in the amazing pictures I've seen of you all and your lightsabers.

Anyhow, in tribute to May 4th, I decided to play around with the idea and some makeup I had lying around. Here's my take on those face markings/tattoos!
It should be noted I don't know what what I'm doing.

Feel free to post pictures of your own markings/tattoos, I'd love to see them.

Also, excuse the messy hair, I got off work and kinda threw this all together.

This looks pretty cool. I'm thinking of doing something similar for my sith costume. Smiley

Thanks Cheesy
If you ever get pictures of it I'd be happy to see!

I'm still designing my costume for it, along with my lightsabers too, actually. I considered doing a mask as well, but it'll really just depend on what looks best with my design.
But again, thank you!

Ah, thank you both and to everyone who just gave me points! You're all far too kind!

Not bad, but the line work is a little bit iffy. Not as an insult, just a critique.

As a suggestion, perhaps make a template of the markings you want to be on your face. That way, you can get some really fine lines. Then cut out the template and place it onto the sections of your face where you want them to be. It'll help greatly if you have somebody you know help you with this when you ready yourself up.

Of course, unless you want them to have that hand-drawn feel to them, hehheh.

Part of it looking a little choppy was actually the way the picture came out. But it wasn't as straight of lines as I wanted it to be when I painted them, either. I mean there is only so much you can do with free handing, after all.
But that's a really good suggestion! I'll make note of it, that's for sure.
Although, I was mostly experimenting when I made this, after I'm finished with my Sith costume, I might not actually do face tattoos, I might possibly go for a mask. But again, it all depends on what looks best together.
Regardless, thank you so much for the input! Points to you. Smiley

The Sith seem to favor sharp, crisp lines in their tattoos. Your concept is very good, in my opinion.
